Your main cue i mean, not your spare cues :)

I have to say i don't like anyone else using my cue, however competent they may be.

Nope...did it once, because they wanted to play me but forgot their cue at home. Did nothing but b*tch about how 'too light' it was and then dinged the shaft in the process.

No big deal to remove the dings, it was just the principal of the matter. I don't ask people to use their cues, because if I don't have mine handy, I'll play off the wall...so, please don't ask to play with mine.

Not any more. I have a Varney conversion that I bought to replace my knock around bar cue. Its a decent cue worthy of looking after. I also use it for league play. I was in the bar one Sat night, went out for a smoke and when I came back in, my wife had given it to our daughters boy friend.
I sat there and watched him bang it into the metal corner of a Valley bar box and plunk it down hard in a rest. I took it away from him and told him to bring his own cue in if he wanted to play.
Never again.

Never when I played, now its not as big of a deal...but I still have a twing when I let someone use it.

The answer is no. I'm not saying I've never let anyone try my cue, because I have, but not to just anyone. And I won't play with someone and pass it back and forth nor do I lend it out.

I'll let friends use it. Pool playing friends that know and respect a nice cue.
Thats where it stops.

Call me a little selfish, but the answer is no. People have dropped my cues when they were just looking at it so i don't even want to imagine what would happen if i let people use my cues.

As far as my "main player" I would not let anyone use it.
I have 4-cues that have substantial dings from letting people borrow or try them out.
It is unbelievable how some people treat cues or don't know how to treat a cue.
I get asked all the time and I just say no.
Sometimes I feel bad about it, but when you get dinged up cues back from people 4-times, the refinish costs start adding up.

The question is what do you do when you get a brand new cue back
with 10-dings, just because you forgot what an idiot the guy you loaned it to is.
I felt like it was my fault for not considering who I was loaning it to.
Then there are people that you didn't realize were idiots until you loaned them a cue.

There are a couple of people I let use my main cue. I always carry 3 cues in my case, my cue, my break cue, and my spare cue. My friends have all learned my spare cue is fair game and they always ask for it. I also let anyone use my break cue. So happy I switched to the 3x5 case so I always have the spare cue just in case as I'm sure it has saved my main cue a couple of dings :)

And when friends are over the house, they get to use my house cues which I do take decent care of :)

A small few people are welcome to use my cues. The people that are allowed to treat cues the same way I do so there really isn't an issue with it.

I only let two people use my main player, the guy who got me into pool and the guy who works on my cues. Anyone else can use my break cue if they would like, it has dings and dents already.

I don't have a problem with it, as long as they have high end cues also.
(I have to know them)

I only let a select few of my buddies who play pool well enough use it because I know they won't slam each shot in and respect the cue.

I remember one time I let one of my friends shoot one shot with it and he scooped the cueball. Once I heard that sound of the cueball contacting the ferrule/shaft, my reflexes took over and snatched it away from him...even though it's a crappy Action cue lol.

Perhaps a test hit or two....

...Always with me breathing down their neck and my hands under the cue....

I'll break there legs no one touch my cue.................no one strokes my biiiitch....
