I tend to only take a "collector" cue out to a friends or a actual pool hall. Daily player cue goes with to leagues at the bar. There are just to many obstructions around every table in the leagues I play in. I would go nuts of I caught a table edge on my back stroke and dinged a "collector" cue. Also don't really plan to play much with my 50's Hoppe, being that it is not converted.
I'm just curious because I use a predator sneaky pete but am looking at 700 to 1200 price range sticks and wondering if thats a normal player or do you guys just store them after a certain amount.
Interesting topic in that I'm actually looking at a stick on here now that's $2500 range and I'm nervous about buying cause I'm afraid I would be afraid to play with it. My current is a Schon that I paid $900 ish for and it's got some character to it for sure after 7 years. I'm a clumsy person and am OFTEN bumping things, not sure how I would feel about messing up a high end (2k + for me) stick due to my clumsiness.

...a brand new B. Szamboti that I bought 15 years ago and has never hit a ball.
