Hey I got a table in my house we just put it in today ... And I'm wondering if anyone knows of any good practice drills for straight 8 or 9 ball???

Thank you for your help...

Louis Ulrich posted some drills in the pro section on azbilliards forums when you first enter. Many people posted on drills here if you search

I have a lot of drills in my book "Lessons in 9 Ball" which is available at the link in my signature.

I would also recommend "Black Belt Billiards" by Steve Campana and "Pro Skill Drill" by Dominic Esposito.

If you go to http://www.sfbilliards.com you will find a complete library of billiard knowledge - more specifically at this link
http://www.sfbilliards.com/misc.htm

there you will find some great information, including all of Bob Jewett's BD articles going back to 1992.

At this link

http://www.sfbilliards.com/progpract.pdf

you will find progressive practice drills that will keep you busy well into your retirement years.

Good luck!

There are tons of drills but I was interested when I saw Efren warming up for his match in the Predator tournament. All he did was roll balls out on the table and run them, not in numerical order. A couple times he used extreme english to get position but mostly he was just pocketing balls.

well I'd say there's a reason why Efren does it that way and most others do not. Most others do not have the same baseline as he does.....so until you have the same basic level of playing as Efren....I'd do some drills....MightyX, AlexanderTheGreat, LineUp, Ladder, CompactPlay etc....

Equal Offense is fun if you want to try to make records...

Rempe's Drill

I like the classic Rempe drill to get my head straight. Lay out all balls with none touching a bank. Run the rack without letting your cue ball touch a rail. This forces a mental focus on tight position play and helps me get my head straight.
