Does anyone think Chohan can beat Daulton

action

Im not trying to get in your action(iba47) but if you cant handle all the responses I think Ill bet on Shannon. I dont think hes the nuts but I just dont bet on Tony. I always bet against him or match up and play him myself. Anyway let me know what you cant handle or dont want and Ill see about fading it....LJOHN

Okay, a public response to several private messages. This is how I handicap this match. I make Tony a slight favorite in One Pocket, Shannon a slight favorite in Banks and the Ten Ball a toss up. And any one of the three games can go either way.

This is one of the more interesting matches for sweating and side betting that TAR has staged. I like the all around aspect of these matches, just like the last one with John and Danny. Maybe the winner of this one will play Danny?

I will be there to sweat it myself so please come by and say hello. I wouldn't bet this one until I see their faces, hear what they're saying prior to the match, and read the body language. Kapeche! It's kind of like betting a horse race using the program only. I like to see the horses before they go to the gate, so to speak.

With all the interest in this match, it's a shame they can't play somewhere with some seating. There are going to be a lot of disappointed fans. And it looks like I'll be one of them. Can't you guys at least arrange to use the TV table for the 1pocket?

I kind of feel like these guys in the match rooms.

Pat Fleming "owns" that area and he will be filming tournament matches there. We tried to work something out but due to several things were unable to reach an agreement.

We are paying $1500 to the hotel for a dedicated T1 line and the port that it is assigned to is in the Action room. To tear all of our gear down, have the T1 assigned to a different port, have cat5 ran, then reset up all the video and audio gear in the main tournament room, oh yeah and the announce booth all in the middle of the madness that is derby is just a little too daunting for me.

It will be tight I am sure but then it is always tight in the action room at the derby, this is the last year for the action room in its current incarnation, what better way to celebrate all the great things that have happened there than to spend the last 3 days sweating 2 great champions playing multiple games for serious money?

Shannon just came by my house and I showed him these arrangements for the matchup. He said Thurs, Fri, Sat works for him. He was a little surprised that it would be out in the open area but he didn't care. He is going to be geared up to play and I am looking forward to him getting back in the action arena.

This looks like it will be a great Action Challenge. I know I will be front and center to sweat it.

What is happening from there? A new room or no action room at all:o  :o   . That would be awful. Please elaborate if you can.

The hotel is being remodeled this year after the Derby. The Derby is gonna happen in Louisville next year for sure don't worry about that. It is just that this is going to be the last year for the way it has been since the beginning.

What I mean is with the layout of the rooms and all of the atmosphere of the Executive West in its current form. You know, '70's wood trim everywhere, that slightly claustrophic feeling you get walking down the hallway jammed with everyone from Efren to the dude who has been sleeping in the chair since Sunday. If you haven't seen it or experienced it I urge to get there this year. It will be different and bigger in the future I am sure and knowing how Greg works I would bet on it being better as well, but it will be different than it has been for the last 10 years.

Greg has some amazing plans for next year and it should be the biggest Derby ever. I am sure he will make his announcements when he is ready. So look forward to great things in '09, but make sure you get there this year so in 15 years when people are talking about "Remember the old action room..?" You can say "Yeah...I lost $200 and 4 days sleep there." :D

Basically there is no room at the Derby for us to set up anywhere else. The only other option would be in the chapel or the opposite end of the main room from the TV arena. Both of which actually offer less room for spectators. Our main goal for this whole thing is to capture the magic of the action room at the Derby city and we will be streaming free basically the entire time we are there as long as someone is up to run the gear and we are not doing a PPV. Those who have been know what I am talking about. I can't think of a better way to send off the old layout than with two road legends and Champions mixing it up on the final 3 days.

Only problem Iba is you picked Chohan too. Read my PM and I will give you a friendly bet while you are there. Ill take The Cannon if you want. I just want to have fun. I also will bet on Sarah with you because she is a great pro and a good AZ'er. Call me when you get there.

Anyone else want to sweat it

Anyone want Chohan? Call me 256-283-7982

Lines are still open

Anyone want Chohan? I know alot of bettors at the Derby have him as the favorite. I got one bet down getting 10:9 on the money. You can have him even.... Sweat some.
