I would like to see some jam up hardcore gamblers match up on their own raw power and nerves with alot of their own money at stake. No drugs allowed. This is when you see what the player is made out of.

I hate to say it but I dont think that will happen. Some cant make a ball in a row with-out that -MIXTURE-......................It is a shame.........But its reality..

John has about as much chance as I do (and the rest of the world) playing 1P. Not knocking him as he is obviously a world class straight pooler and 9baller, but he has no shot at 1hole.

I am afraid this dream may be more of a nightmare for JS.

As for my dream matchup---- I am eagerly awaiting the Betmore/Breakup grudge match. LET'S GET IT ON!!!!!

Schmidt can win a short race of one pocket against anyone in the world including Efren, but the MARQUIS MATCH is definitely Williebetmore and Breakup but I will watch only to listen to the one upsmanship remarks. :)

I was referring to a gambling session and I was in no way belittling Mr. Schmidt's abilities. I was just reiterating the superiority of Efren playing 1P. He is the best in the world that I am aware of at this time. John S. doesn't need my validation to prove he is a champion, just look back 4 months.

I wish someone would post the date of this MARQUIS matchup so I would make sure to be there.

K-man,
Like EVERYTHING else at DCC, we will have to "play it by ear". Barely controlled chaos is the order of the day.

I think there may be some preliminary jousting, jostling, heckling, punching (or girly slaps from breakup), kicking, and biting; after that WE PLAY.

P.S. - out of respect for the rest of the AZB community, we will try to find a time that will not interfere with the play of the other members. Also, anyone watching breakup for more than a few seconds will be prone to losing several I.Q. points and much of their pool skill.

For pure gambling action, I would most like to see and bet on the following:

Nine Ball:

Jessie Bowman vs Eric Durbin My Pick: Jessie prevails by breakfast time.

Keith Bennet vs Jon Kuchero My Pick: Long night but Jon wins out.

Sparky Ferrel vs Johnny Archer My Pick: Johnny gets revenge since they last met and Sparky won out. Johnny in a "runaway"

Bank Pool:

Greg (?) from Indianapolis vs Jason Miller from Dayton Jason in a tight match.

Brumbach vs Piggy Brumbach reads table before Piggy can recover

Shannon Dalton vs Ike Runnels A toss up but I would bet on Shannon

One Pocket:

Cliff Joyner vs Scott Frost Scott Frost

Scott Frost vs Eric Durbin Scott Frost

You may disagree with my picks but that is your call. These are my picks and I have played with most of them!

Wanna weigh in on Your picks Freddy?

Cross-Side-Larry

"Learn from the best and beat the rest"

You have definitely "got me" in some of your picks. Hopefully you will be sweating some action this weekend. I'll be a young man...bout 6ft tall..short hair, looking to gamble and bet on side action. I hope i run into you with some of these games about to go down, especially with the cliff and frost match up..that could easily happen. Good luck in Louisville!

And I couldn't agree more about Efren being the best in the world at 1P.

since all the great players are there I would like to see a invitation only bar table 9ball round robin to decide at least for now who is the best on the bar box.

archer
bowman
van boning
dennis
matlock
baraks
cory d
who else?

maybe a 1500-2000 entry fee

I never thought of Johnny as a bar box mechanic, but I'd imagine the Scorpion can play all games! ;)

James Walton for sure!

Hennessee from Tennessee has been known to win on the 7-footers.

Bobby Pickle, if he's there. What a hoot!

Shannon Daulton plays all games, and he's an asset in any game he participates in, especially when he's barking!

The kid from Ohio, whose name escapes me, is a MUST. He used to travel with Kid Delicious. Oh, yeah, I remember now. Chris Bartrum!

As much as I like Jeanette I'd have to go with Jasmine in a 9-ball race. Maybe Jeanette in 14.1...but Jasmine plays that well too.Johnnyt

I don't know, Johnny. I witnessed Jeanette Lee beat a couple topnotch players at the Joss event in Turning Stone Casino last year, to include taking Jerry Slivka and Shawn Wilke to the hill for a double-hill intense-filled game. I wish I could remember the names of the players she defeated because it was an incredible feat, in my opinion.

She is a real crowd-pleaser, always hanging out after the match, mingling with the fans, answering questions, signing autographs. All eyes were glued on her at the Turning Stone Casino. It seems that sponsors would rather have players of Jeanette Lee's caliber competing than anybody else because she is, in fact, a recognizable pool star. Jeanette is GREAT when she is in the pit, handles the pressure well, and the lady really can play.

I do not know much about Jasmin, other than what I have read in the pool media.

However, both ladies are easy on the eyes, from what I have been told (LOL), and may put on an excellent battle for all to enjoy. :)

I gotta funny story about a well-known action player who was high as the Georgia pine competing in a tournament. All the name-brand players were in attendance. Somehow or another, he managed to make it to the winner's circle. As soon as they presented him his trophy and monies, he passed out cold, falling to the floor, and had to be carried out of the joint!

There is something very special about Karen Corr. I have many pictures of this Irish sweetheart, and it is always a pleasure to see her on the tournament trail. Here's a shot taken at the above-referenced Turning Stone Casino Joss Tour event.

Keith McCready, shown here posing with Karen, really admires and likes Karen a whole bunch. They love to joke around together and have formed a very nice friendship. :)
