Way to go Lil Shrek! Sonnufagun sure knows how to take advantage of an opening. He closed 'em out - put out the lights. Well played Daz.

Appleton is great player

Darren Appleton is never an underdog and is capable of beating any given human at any time. Orcullo had very few chances.

In the post match interview; Daz said he considered Dennis Orcullo to be the best in the world; very gracious, but I guess he could afford to be.

Orcullo has lost his 2nd tournament in just over a week, where he had to be bested twice; I think Lee Van Corteza did it in the Southern Classic 9-Ball Tournament. That's got to be disappointing.

But it's on to Hard Times in Bellflower, CA for the next leg of the Western Swing; then on to Las Vegas for the U.S. Open One-Pocket and 10-Ball. I'm told POV will be also streaming the Hard Times Tournament free; not sure about Vegas. They are doing a great job and need the support of all pool fans.

Congrats Daz on a great tournament. Thank you sponsors for the added $$, and thanks to POV Pool streaming for the great free coverage. Next most of the same players go to Hardtimes and then on to the CSI 1 hole, 8 ball, and 10 ball. This Western swing gets stronger every year. Johnnyt

I like Dennis' chances on the tight HT tables, he always seems to out play the field in that equipment.

TAR is streaming the CSI tourneys in Vegas, I do believe.

Good double wins for Mr. Appleton. I'm sure the money is going to come in handy while he's living here in the States.

I wonder if they take a third out for taxes for the foreign players in these tournaments. I have seen other tournaments do that.

I watched quite a bit of the 10 ball and all of the finals and I have to stay that it was an awesome display of pool playing ability that Darren showed last night. Completely validated why he is the world number 1. The stream was good as well. I always enjoy the POV Pool streams. I love watching good 10 ball.

tighter than 4"?

I think they said the tables they were playing on at the Calif.Bill.Club were
4" pockets; are the ones at Hard Times tighter than that?

Most of the tables are 4.25" pockets except for tables #1 & #6, which are 3 7/8".

Those 2 tables will be the stream tables for the Hard Times 10-Ball Event!

Streaming Live from July 12th-14th.

If I'm feeling up to it and all the stars are in correct alignment, I will set up a day or two early and stream whatever action is taking place.

There is talk of Damien Alishon vs Francisco Bustamante playing one-pocket.

Thanks All!

He has few US $ in his Bank. Today is Brandon Schuff`s Birthday and Darren is treating him for dinner at a top notch Thai Restaurant in Vegas.

Daz reminds me of Graeme McDowell, champion golfer.

Great player, cool guy, and always giving his opponents a good word.

Well done.

Daz is well on his way to a HOF career.
