Earl calling out Joe Rogan

Not my point at all. One contest makes no definate judgement...I am glad Foreman played Ali more than once.

Maybe Shane woke up a sleeping Dragon???

Yeah, I guess that's why he's been beating Shane's door down for the rematch. Oh, and a race to 100 where you lose by almost 40 games, thats pretty definitive.

Stay on topic guys

What might an agreeable match look like?

3 disciplines, short-ish races, with fair handicaps. Target time-length of a couple hours.

Reasonable sharking allowed. Costumes and props? Coaching? Give Joe a coach that can provide some limited input? Timeouts for comedic relief permitted.

Make it a ton of fun, but keep the competitive juices of the 2 competitors flowing. Make 'em want to win, but not so much anyone will get too wrapped up to miss the overall purpose - entertainment and promotion.

This has potential to be very entertaining.

How about this - make a promo video of Joe negotiating with Earl as Earl to come to a agreed upon spot and what they want to do for charity. You know, the winner chooses their charity for the money put up. This would make a great promo to induce ppv viewers for the event, which a portion of the ppv goes to charity as well.

Can you just see Joe down on a shot and lifting his head and talking to Earl as Earl? I'm laughing already. And it would go without saying that Joe has permission to be "Earl" whenever he sees fit. I'm hoping Earl has the sense of humor to allow this to take place - it's hard to get a read on him.

I would buy the ppv, especially if it was for charity. Let's do this!

What's the point of this ? That Joe Rogan is afraid to play pool against a World Champion? Why shouldn't he be?

Grow a sense a humor, what Rogan posted was hilarious. This challenge is almost as funny. Why not challenge him to see who is a better Fear Factor host? Or lets see Earl (or you) stand up in front of 100s of strangers and do a stand-up routine.

Please.

Kevin

Kevin,

I think the whole challenge is meant in the spirit of good natured fun and not in a defensive way at all.

"Ali knocked Foreman out, and George didn't get up for 10 years!"... Norman Mailer..

They only fought once... That was enough for Big George..

Earl should just make a video imitating Joe ... he can do the bit where he is yelling at Carlos Mencia for stealing other comedians material. :)

Hey all Earl would like to play a challenge match gainst Joe Rogan for whatever he wants to play for. Earl said that since he is good at impressions maybe he can do and impressionon of a pool player. Where are you Joe? I seen you put something up here just recently so lets have it what u want to play where and for how much. Lets have some fun and put it up on youtube tar can do the PPV. Let me know :) I expect to hear crickets

I think if Earl took this in good spirits and had a match with Joe while into his Earl character against Earl in his.... well Earl character, this could be bloody priceless. Can you imagine TWO Earl's doing battle with each other at the same time yapping away on lucky stuff, jump cues, ect.... I could just see Joe yapping away when Earl pulls out a jump cue and spears in a 3-ball like he did to Peach in the Mosconi Cup and yack away "Oh look at you all pleased as punch like you just did something, try that with a Meucci!".

Of course Earl is going to drill Joe, but if it was done in the sake of comedy and Earl was in good spirits it would play off like a GREAT SNL skit or the like.

I would like to see Joe come out in a Bee Keepers outfit.

Dude, not only the outfit, huge yellow goggles, assweights the size of a lifebuoy, every finger taped up like crazy, I mean Joe throwing out all the stops, when he comes into the match he should be decked out.

And even more priceless would be if Earl starts using the magic rack, a Jump cue along with the Jump Buddy, every gimmick that Earl himself cannot stand, and then we get to watch Joe just melt down as he does his Earl impression while Earl drills him with every truly goofy gimmick Earl rightfully fights against.

This is how it would turn into true comedy gold, Joe getting totally smoked by a guy (Earl Strickland) that uses every gimick in the game and goign balasitic while Earl himself stays straight faced and deadpans it mirroring the Euro's or Taiwan players and their lack of emotion and sometimes less then entertaining style at the table. Man that could end up funny, it would just be tough for Earl to stay so in character and straight faced while Joe in his Earl character loses a gasket over another jump shot with the jump buddy with a ball sitting all over the magic rack.

Oh and the match MUST have a cameo by Max Eberle clearly as he took more of a clouting then Earl himself did in that video, the one time in the video where BOTH Earls suddenly totally agree with each other and rip into Max and his carrot eating habits.

I would wager against that. Earl is legitimately a great athlete. Mr. Rogan might hold a purple belt in jiu jitsu or whatever but is by no means a real fighter.

Lol, I'm your huckleberry and will make a small sweat bet of $1K if you are interested with me taking Joe.

I think if Earl showed up in a bee keeper hat and a joint the size of a young childs leg. Also using all the gimmicks that are out there. We could have alot of fun but have enough in the middle to make each want to win.

Earl would have the same chance in a fight as Joe would in a race to 100 playing even 10-ball against Earl. Not a prayer.
