Earl On MC...Just A Hunch

I definitely know who is on the team. They are all between the ages of 15 and 50 and are heterosexual. None of them are balding too seriously as yet and only one or two are over six feet tall. They either have dark hair or not real dark hair and are not overweight for the most part. And most of them are right handed as well! There now, I've given you way too many clues.

Truly narrowed it down!!! The mostly right handers is tricky cuz that means hatch or Morris which semi conflicts w jams clue considering one seasoned pro and four young guns. I can't call Shane a young gun so if he's the seasoned pro hatch and Morris are out???

I think I'm looking into this too much and I also think no one knows the actual team yet. But I could be mistaken and I'm obviously super interested hense the pressuring for BETTER clues :)

I'm hoping that my choices are selected.

Seasoned pro = Shane
Young Guns = Bergman, Sky, Oscar, and Thorpe.

This team IMO would have the best chance to stay together as team year after year and to play together with a good attitude.

I really like this team, but I keep feeling like I'm not giving Rodney or Hatch their due. They are both right up near the top in points and they have MC experience which would likely help under pressure. Honestly, it is a tough decision. After Shane, the next guys are all so closely matched. On the plus side, I think it would be tough for me to not be happy with whatever the team is because it really isn't clear cut on who would be the best five. I'm very excited for this years team on several different levels.

Well said I fully agree. All that matters at the end of the day is USA! USA!!!

Now that you mention it, I was thinking myself maybe Roberts instead of Thorpe. Can't go wrong with with either one I think.

EDIT: My reasoning of Oscar higher than Thorpe is due to Oscar's good attitude. Thorpe has had some attitude problems occasionally if things don't go his way.

_______

I love Billy but agree he's got some issues, that's why I think Donny Mills is a great choice, he's a known money player and has a great attitude and is playing pretty sporty the last yr with some good finishes, if he knows he's on the team I'm more than sure he will put even more time into his game and that could make him a very tough out

I'd gladly switch the two for this years team but I figured Donny came on too little too late to make the cut. Now if they havnt picked the team yet I would still be trying to get votes for Donny because I truly think he is another top 5 American 9 ball player but I ve heard numerous times the team was already picked like even a few events again which I'm assuming means no Donny.

Personality doesn't win Cups.

All of the pros that are in consideration for the team have a high gear.

Are you implying that Shane, Skyler, Oscar, Billy, Bergman, or whoever else is in contention would dump or not give 100%?

No - I wasn't aware they had announced the team yet. Some pool players would dump. Ask Vegas why they stopped taking bets on pool.

I wasn't there but I seem to recall reading about a couple players on the US team who were drunk and cussing a few years ago. If true I would have a hard time inviting them to play again to represent the US.

Personally, I do not care who is on the team. I would just like to see the Americans win!

BTW, I did not read the thread at all, fwiw....

The total of the ages for all five is 157, if I've done my math correctly.

Thorpe

I like either team.

The Amazing Kreskin says you're wrong on both accounts.

Oh god, the seasoned vet is Dennis Hatch. Although he's playing good right now, he's a major choke artist. This is not 2009 where USA was steamrolling Europe. Idk if he can handle the pressure and competition of the players of today.

I'm fine with Hatch, Morris position play is sloppy. Either way, its all good
