I've done over 2,000 at one time and it took around 2 and a half hours. I quit more from boredom than exhaustion. Earl jumps with a full cue so I believe him.

No disrespect meant, but why does Earl have a huge gut if he is an exercise freak? Is he eating like a slob? Is he doing the wrong exercises? It doesn't make sense to me.

Huge gut? Seen him alot both in person and on video and never seen that.

"I" have a huge gut atm, don't think Earl has ever managed to match it.

I saw him this week at dcc. In my opinion, he has a huge gut compared to his frame. I am biased however, as I have a totally flat stomach and approaching a 6 pack. From my perspective of eating right and regular exercise, earl is far from fit.

Maybe he did-After all I can do between two and three hundred in just under 4 minutes. He had the whole tournament.

Not to mention- I think Earl was just "exaggerating for effect"

The size of your gut doesn't mean your not healthy or fit. I have somewhat of a gut, however I eat healthy and compete in a few triathlons a year. My friend has a six pack yet eats fast food 7 days a week 3x a day! I can run circles around him. Size of your gut doesn't mean jack!

definately could be his quantity of food eaten

it will stretch your stomach and swell your gut

that doesn't mean your not heathy or in shape

you can see this happen in drastic fashion in all the UGLY body builders of today.......

yea yea i know they all on roids but the roids dont do squat without food specifically protein and carbs

they LOAD LOAD LOAD up on food........i know of one guy that i heard was eating something like 15,000 calories a day........

whats crazy is they eat good food and supplements so you know they are not just eating 6 blooming onions from outback..........

Earl is in good shape, I've been around him and for his age he looks just fine and healty and ive never really seen him any diff unless if your talking about when he was still 25 lol...............

2000 or whatever situps is actually bad for posture. You also need to train the opposite muscles (antagonists), which would be the back. He looks great though, and is clearly still kicking ass.

tHE REASON his mid section mite look big is earl wears several shirts at a time, and they all kind of bundle up at his mid section,u can try it for ur self .beleive me u dont run as much as earl does and for as long as he has been running and have a huge gut, remember thats the reason earl started running because he didnt like haveing any gut,its the shirts.

Well, he played very well through 2010!!! I think any good cardio workout is good for the mind and therefore your game. I think this becomes even more important as you age. I had the pleasure of taking a class with him last summer and he was in very good humor and fun to be around!
Go Earl!!!!

I done slot of situps at the DCC mysel this year, evertime
I missed, I set down, evertime they missed, I sit up! Earl
was wearing two or three shirts throughout the entire
event, might have been an optical illusion?
