I was so hungry for good old American pool by the time i got home i could have kissed the first pool room floor.
I appreciate the stoic snooker players, little banter, and poker faces. I really love good pool in any form. I still choose wit, wisdom, good form, a great leave, and even a touch of class. Frankly I found it hard to find billiards in other countries. At least here we often put a big sign out front.

You know what's happening, my fellow American! Keep on pulling for the U.S. of A. There's so many great things about this country, one of them being American pool. There ain't nothing like it anywhere else in the world. That's why they flock to our shores and compete in our events.

Also, maybe she and TheOne have history... but eleven or twelve people were offended in that thread by what she said, and I'm one of them. So... I handle it personally (and yes, I tried doing so via PM rather than call her out in a public forum. She chose to ignore it).



I don't think you even know you have it, so you can say things like that and believe it.

Okay, the next time you're around all your foreign friends at the pool hall, tell them that the only reason their amateurish countrymen get to play in some of our events is because of the giant brown spots on their nose. Disrespect some of their heros. Call your friends boring robotic alien players. Complain about how they're screwing up american events like the US Open, maybe imply they're robbing deserving americans of the chance at the title. If they aren't shooting with american cues, tell them they're playing with foreign-made pieces of crap. Then do the verbal equivalent bold red capital letters "USA ALL THE WAY" to them.

...outside of all this squabbling with you, I seem to do OK. I get along with other people (even Russ, sort of, lol). I talk about pool in my other posts and I get the occasional thank-you note or rep. It's just that stuff you say really pushes my buttons and brings out the worst in me. I sincerely would rather stick to talking pool and not have this negative stuff every time I go to look at new posts.

You're entitled to your opinions about foreign players, and maybe you feel like "if anyone tries to shut me up and keep my from voicing my opinion, I'll just say it twice as loud". Well, that's spirited and all, but sometimes discretion is best.

I truly think you bring up nationality in threads where it isn't relevant. I'm not saying "never talk about nationality", just don't drag it out when it's got nothing to do with the current topic. It's annoying. As a PLAYER and life long Snooker and Pool fanatic I'm still convinced there is nothing stopping pool from making it on American TV if certain people stop making lame excuses and blaming everyone else for not cashing anymore!

This one was pretty insulting, Roy, and was made with the intention of targeting me as well as demeaning my boyfriend's ability to cash in pool tournaments.
