Earl Strickland "Walks" at BCA Exhibition?

If I remember correctly, I think it was Sunny on that shot.
P.S. Some of Earl's stoke shots were amazing.

It was Sunny.

No kidding!!

He has a new shot I haven't seen before...(can't get WEI to work )

Cue ball on the corner of the break box, he fires a ball straight in the corner pocket, follows it 3 rails, and kicks a ball in. (ball sitting almost middle of bottom rail)

AMAZING stroke, for sure.

who is this woman?

Expose her!

I think the real importance is setting the record straight about the OP - not who this lady fan is...

She was a big fan of Earl and was obviously "Star Struck" by him and got overly excited and couldn't stop talking to him. But, she was not intentionally trying to push Earl's buttons like some people have in the past.

Sometimes it is amazing to have interactions with a World Champion and realize they are people just like you and me. They feel happiness and pain just like everyone! And yes, they get mad too!

It's sad that some people not caring about one's pain and intentionally try to get a rise out of someone just for their pathetic amusement...:(

Why not try to confirm this through another channel than to start an Earl thread which is untrue.

All this happened as he was warming up, and now we have yet another thread for Earl who did NOTHING wrong and more misinformation out there.

Great job OP...

A friend called me from the Southwest Regional 8 Ball event held at the Radisson Conference Center at Fort McDowell, Arizona, this past week saying that Earl Strickland was being harassed by a female in the audience attending his exhibition. According to my friend's account, Earl just broke down his cue and walked off. My friend and his pals traveled 100 miles to watch Earl. Needless to say, they felt cheated!

It was one funny moment..Earl looked a bit uncomfortable after hearing she was willing to 'barter' for lessons.:D

Only thing funnier was the Lady who announced "I want everyone to know I won a game in this tournament" (after going 0 for 12 previously)

People really enjoyed getting up close and personal. How many times do you get to ask any question you want? Earl's attitude was exceptional. If you are a fan, you sure missed out.

Ha ha, that was Great Rick. We were in a battle right across from these ladies and she broke the tention in the room by yelling that out. Funny part was her team was 4 or 5 matches in before she won her first game and felt relieved.

"OMG, I want everyone to know that I FINALLY Won a Game in this Tournament! Whew...."

The whole room bust up and then everyone clapped for her!

Either way I would have cold cocked the crack ho.

You should prob get your facts straight before you post about someone!!!!Earl did not walk out on the expo he was practicing and being very cool with the crowd...Then some lady was starting to ride him about playing so pool against her and earl politly declinded to play her. She then kept riding him about this and called earl a name os something and earl blew up a little and packed up and left until the expo was to start. in my opinion earl handled it just fine..So your friends were not cheated and if they stayed they saw he expo.

Did they tar and feather her ?
I had something real close to that same indecent
happen a few years ago . Earl was playing in a tournament that I
was not even going to , until I found out Earl was playing . So I jump in my car and drive 3 hours . Got a seat sitting 10 foot from his table . He
was playing this guy and every time Earl missed or scratched on the
break his girl friend or wife would clap . And when her hubby won a game
she got louder . Earl made a remark to her , and she got worse . She had a mouth that needed a sock stuck in it to put it politely . She needed her ass kicked . Earl sneered at her and broke down his cue . I got to watch him about 10 or 15 minutes . If it would have been a man , I would have had to take my assault charge . Why they didn't escort this loud mouthed , rude beitch out , I will never know .

Say Whaaaaaaaaaaaat?

Who cares....there were 23 entrants, 4 spectators and spotty live stream......kind of a bust if you ask me according to bca standards......What ever happened to the good ole IPT days when pool players took the biz seriously for about a year and a half.......

Earl was not out of line, he just does not like being talked the wrong way.

You seem like a real jerk off. Atleast the BCAPL and Mark Griffin are trying to do something for pool and Arizona, what do you do besides come on here acting like a fool? Here are all the videos I recorded on my spotty live stream, they look terrible to me, lets see if you can do better.

Wait a minute....when was this...not this weekend???

I was there friday night when there was a boisterous lady that appeared to be enjoying here glass of wine....but Earl was totally calm the whole time...

I was there yesterday and Earl came in again....nothing formal he was in there hitting some shots....pretty impressive ones at that.

Then I got to chat with him for about an hour....he sat down and was re-doing his wrap and chatting with me and a couple other guys....I asked him some questions about his tennis wrap grip and why he does it....and some other questions about the pool/golf/tennis relationship.

He was perfectly fine the whole time and to be quite honest had some pretty cool and some funny stories.

I did not get the impression that Earl "walked" on anything...He did his thing and when he was done...he left.

Unfortunatly there were only a handful of people around when he was there....quite a few missed out

I watched it also and he even set up some trick shoots for her to shoot and she was tickled . granted earl has his ways but Da* picking him to death!!! lo lo . 5 time world 9ball champ--- he has earned some respect!!!!!

I was there too. I thought the event was very well run. And a decent turnout for a first year event being held on a holiday. Earl was awesome to watch and fun to talk with.

The pool world will be very dark and empty when Earl isn't around anymore. IMO Earl is still a very bright light in this game and according to him will be back in tournament action again soon.

However it's people like you thuglife520 that this game could never miss. So here is some advice take two weeks off, think of what you said, then quit.

AZ Southwest Regional at Ft. McDowell

Although this was the first year for this event, we hope to make it an annual thing. It was a great venue - and we will know in a week or two about the next couple of years.

We only had 245 people or so - and that won't get it in the future.

But we have to start somewhere, and we all had a good time. We did add $6,000 so many players came out.

Arizona is a strange market. There are something like 7 or 8 different amateur leagues. We were hoping to get a little participation from more of the local players. We do this for a couple of reasons - but one of them is to build up our presence in the Arizona market.

I really think we will have twice as many players next year. We learned a couple of things about the AZ rating system. This is a handicap event and we have to protect the regular players from the really good players.

We will make some changes and hopefully the stronger players can find a way to support the event. We wil take a shot for a couple of years but by then if we do not get the support, we will move the event to another state.

I really hope if you have ny constructive criticism you will send it to our office. We would like to see this grow into a 800 player event in 3 -5 years.

For those that came - thank you. A special thanks to Lenny for his streaming.

Hope to see you next year.

You got that right concerning the Thugs.. post, my thoughts exactly.. Seems like there's always at least one troll in every thread.

Thanks for taking the time to stream Lenny!

I tell ya, it seems Earl just can't get a break. It seems nomatter what he does there is always a couple of people that want to make him the bad guy. No wonder he gets pissed off sometimes.
