Earl !!!!

Putnam wins! I guess Earl still has a shot on the 1 loss side but I am sure it has hasn't made the Earl fans happy. I'm sure they wanted to rub Putnams face in it a little.

Yes, we (I) did. Congratulations Mr. Putnam and come on Earl and get through the left side.

Looks like he'll get to face SVB after all, just on the other side.

GO EARLLLLL!!!

Earl's done for this year, he just got beat by Mazon 11-2. He sure made it fun to sweat and must have played some great pool.

SVB has come back from 4-1 down to Oacsar D and is now up 6-4.

We'll now have to wait for the TAR match to see Earl/SVB play eachother.

Dave

I miss Earl already.:frown:
When he's gone, it feels like half the field is missing.

I like your game also Donnie, but as MANY other people are saying here and you should be taking a point. You seem to have a TON of people who would love to play you pool, all you have to do is play loser racks for the winner or neutral racker. Your ryo is getting old, yes we all know you will play anyone in the world ryo, so what? At this point you should be coming up with new bets, like playing the ghost a race to 100 or something like that.

You might have to step up and play real players away from your place or give up pool, but you said that wont bother you so it wont be an issue.

I really enjoy watching you play, but there just aren't that many people left who enjoy the whole come here to play the whole ryo or play on this table and we don't have to play ryo just use magic rack heck they are st.

I'm sorry Donnie but I've watched you play a lot on tv and you miss way too many balls to beat Earl. Your gimmick game ryo and soft break is freakin ridiculous.. what would be really funny if you played Earl like 92-93.. You would probably need the 7.. Back to the old guard, I can't really tell you about harold worst, lassiter and those guys but the sigels, halls, archers, and of course strickland out plays you dude- prime for prime. Hell, Archer and Strickland still out play you. I hate to be a disrepecful nit but it seems your always on tilt about playing with someone but theres always some excuse.

I enjoy watching Earl play as much as anyone, but his antics during a match and in the chair are borderline poor sportsmanship (just my opinion). No other player acts like this during their match and I watched a lot of them at this years Open. But with this said no one else filled the TV table arena, so I am sure his behavior is just dismissed. I don't think many other players could get away with it.

Lol wow. First off the tv table was so boingy I had no clue how to control the cue ball. Secondly one section of the tv table lights was not working and I couldn't see the angles very well at all. I was really disappointed losing like that.

Back to the other topic. Iusedtoberich if u wanna stake Earl in the rack ur own 9ball us open format race to 60 over 1 day I'll lay you a price on the money. Or I'll play rack ur own ten ball even all the way around. Only stipulation is no talking or antics.

Did the balls have shadows because of the light being out? I know shadows can throw me off when sunlight is coming in through a window when I am trying to play.

And the rails were definately boingy on all the tables. Even Earl was talking about how boingy the rails were and he hadn't played on the TV table at the time yet.

I understand your thoughts, but another reason he may fill seats is because the majority of the others are emotionless tournament robots when they're competing on a stage. :embarrassed2:

Some railbirds, and not all, enjoy a little color and emotion when they're sitting railside. :p

If one reads the current front page about the Final Four....the crowd def. got some unexpected excitement, equal to the Pearl.

Reads good in print, but what was it like to see up front and close?

I remember the finals of the 2003 U.S. Open, and though it was an excellent victory, it wasn't pretty to watch. :frown:

bingo.............

I wish they put a mic at his belt all the time, he will be really entertaining, you get tired of the same pool all the time, Larry's cue snap and anger will probably go long way beyond the US Open too.. of course for "adult entertainment" only.

I saw a lot of color and emotion being displayed, but I do agree. It seems like athletes in other sports also are emotionless robots like tennis and it does make it less enjoyable to watch when the combatants appear not to care.

No pain no gain, true in all aspects. Our game builds or tears down ones character, that's why it's so great. It's well lit, in your face for all to see, no different than being on an operating table. Our games greatest gift, if one is able to ''realize it'' is too Humble your ego and make you laugh at lifes mistakes. If you're to do that as you live your life, happiness and great friendships follow. Efren comes to mind with the Monkey on his Back and his pleasant smile after an error, truly accepting his fate. Its a trait that SVB thinks highly of in Alex P.

If you put a Mic on my belt......I would probably go to jail lol

Donnie is scared to offer Earl who is 15 or 20 years past his prime any weight, even though he says he could have beat any of the players from that era.

Maybe when Donnie wins 5 US Opens someone besides himself will believe it.
