I agree with Rusty. Looks like it could be a blemish in the maple. (sugar)
OK, you guys are right, the cue doesn't suck.
LOL

Without this thread, it probably would have sold for 500-1000 less. Guess the new owner won't get as good of a deal as he might have. Oh well.
Joe, look more like a 5/16-18 thread pin.
Duc.
Did anyone catch this earlier auction? Opinions on being a Tad?

Any (albeit slim) chance of a great deal was killed the second this cue was posted on here.
Can you show me the link to the one that has been on Ebay for months?
That cue was made in the last 5 years. The last time TAD made a non logo cue was in about 1979. Its a Carmelli (I think).
Not a Carmelli, cue would have been 3/8x10 if Carmelli.
There you go. IDing Ariels is obviously beyond the scope of my knowledge.
Doesn't change the fact that anybody that bids on the possible maybe but probably not TAD this thread is about is putting their money in grave peril, not to mention the 8 years bad luck I hear is attached to some eBay actions.
Thanks
Kevin
Of course that 8 years of bad luck isn't attached to any of your auctions or even any of your actions.
I've asked the seller to post of picture of him holding the cue with a current newspaper while rubbing his belly and patting his head
