They can't be serious? We won't tell you who made it until after we've been paid. Oh, and by the way, we don't offer a refund.

Koop

Koop, he posts here. It's Duc Lam, Cuemaster 98 from Canada.

The e-bay "make ofer" gives a buyer and seller a lot of l;attitude to negotiate. Although the mystery is certainly a novel approach, I don't think the cue is in danger of being sold for $1500 anytime soon.

Chris

Ps. he sells these imported full-splice blanks inexpensively, which are used on a lot of different cues.

Thanks Chris.

My apologies to Duc then. This just really seemed suspicious.

Koop - still can't understand the mystery with no refund?

That looks a lot like a Joe Calluca conversion he had up on here a while ago, I think somebody bought that off of him though, so maybe Joe made another one. Either that or I'm way off on this one.

LOL...well at least it provided some entertainment for you guys....anyhow this is a serious auction :) the gentleman that converted this cue rarely does this for anyone .... hopefully when my SR8-A blank he converted prove itself in 3-5 years...I will be able to go back and get this cue signed and refinished with another shaft. I'm also waiting for a big cue from this gentleman...hopefully I'll be able to pick up in 3-5 years as well...going to be a one of a kind and the first of it kind.

This maker is one of my most respected cue builder of all time and his cues were my inspiration to get into the full splice blanks business which has done very well. Believe me, it definitely one of the better cue in my collection...if you have a chance to hit a ball with this cue..you'll know why. I was amazed with how the cue turn out...the maker who converted this piece is by far the best in the industry.

Nice try Joey, but the maker is not in TX.

regards,
Duc.

Hey John, it not a Joe Callaluca...who by the way make a great cue...I'm surprised that Pii can't move that one. Joe C. works seem to get better and better everytime one of his new cue pop up.

Regards,
Duc.

$2,000 and I'll send you a cue made of wood with inlays. It is very pretty and you can hit balls with it. It has a wrap on it and it comes with a case. It is a two piece cue with a tip made of real and I'll say again real leather! It has a rubber bumper to protect it's fine quality craftsmanship. It can be screwed together to form a full length pool cue!!! Be the envy of your local hall with this masterpiece (opinion of course) of a cue! I guarantee you will receive this two piece custom cue in good condition! It is even straight as an arrow! It has a joint on it too! It is a real pretty, great looking, fabulous wooden cue! First $2,000 takes it. I'll disclose the name once payment is received.

Posted in pure fun of course! Good luck with the sale!

I would think that revealing his name would only add to your auction if he's one of the best in the industry.

Oh well. Best of luck with your auction.

Your buy it now price is on the high side for conversions ( But it might be inline depending on who converted the blank) You won't reveal the cuemaker until after the auction, and you have no return policy...It's obvious you don't give the cue buying public much credit...

definitely, especially is he is top 5 or 10 as the add somewhat says.posting his name is your best shot at getting the big money for this cue.i like the ringwork btw.

ringwork

I usually don't get involved in these guessing games, but why not have some fun. I would say by the ringwork either Mike Johnson or JR. But on the other hand what do I know?
TOMMIE

Duc, you know I am a little surprised by this. I have done business with you on a number of occasions some were good and some were not so good, however, I have never complained. Duc, you know it really doesn't matter who made the cue, because by not signing it it speaks volumes. If this gentleman whoever he is did not sign the cue it is simply because he did trust that the blank was properly made or seasoned. The only other reason I have ever heard of that a highly respected cue maker did not sign his work is because it was not up to his standards or in other words the cue was a second.

Either way Duc, I totally agree with Koop you have intentionally misrepresented a cue that for all we know you may have made. Duc, I hope you straighten this out, because credibility certainly is hard to rebuild and your business is entirely based on nothing more than your credibility.

Good Luck

Maybe this is why I'll never be rich, but, has it really come to this??? I mean.... oh well, nevermind.
