Im watching the stream right now and it looks like to me that he is shooting with a new cue. Anyone have any info?

Oddly enough, while I was watching the bank ring game someone said it was a Southwest.

I saw his cue in one of the matches yesterday in person. Def not a southwest. Had like 12 points it looked like. He also switched his shafts a few times.

I don't understand the fascination over what cue someone like Efren is playing with. He could beat most anyone with a push broom with a slight roll out.

I laugh when I see these posts because Efren has probably played with 100's of cues, lol. He changes all the time. He might have a few he goes back to occasionally but I rarely see him with the same cue time after time.

Not really. Unlike most pros, Efren's not a cue ho.

As a players, I think we all have a natural interest in what our favorite professional players use for cues and accessories. I certainly have been interested in learning what my favorite players have in their cases. And I have enjoyed the various What's in the Case segments that have been produced and shown with past tourny events.

But in the end the choice of cue that we play is a highly personal selection based on how a cue responds in our hands, what we know about available cue brands, what we can afford, etc. For professional world class players, the choice of cue really does not matter as much as it does for the amateur just for the fact a professional is going to play at their best level pretty much with whatever you put in their hands.

To get hung up about what a particular pro player is using in my book begins to be waste of energy that could be better focused elsewhere.

Personally I would much rather have Efren's skill, ability, and stroke. Than the Cue he was playing with. IMHO Efren would still be kicking a** with a House Cue!

It's very important we quickly determine what cue Efren is using, because we know that it's Efren's cue that makes balls and plays great shape.

/sarcasm off

Efren is using a Judd, it has his name on the the forearm. 60 in cue

Thanks for the info. Just like to know what he plays with. Not because I want the same cue so I can shoot like him. Just always like to know what the best player ever is currently shooting with:cool:

David, you make a lot of sense and hit the nail right on it's head. I'd play with whatever cue my sponsor pays me to play with.
