When you say that I'm "hurting" Chris, it sounds like you think he's a juvenile. I can testify that Chris is a grown man and does not easily get rattled or "hurt".

Purd, you are but one of many who have cleaned my clock. Hope we had a good time, and a cocktail afterwards.Purdman said:Terry, I am only 58 and I bet I beat Dick more than Cliff Joyner has!![]()

Yeah, but it's a dumb saying. Without the ability to draw well, the game is reduced to mundane quality.champ2107 said:This reminds me of a longest drive competition in golf. Here is pool quote I have herd "Draw for show an follow for dough"

If someone can show a draw stroke that can draw the ball 15' or more (say, 7' CB to OB plus 8' of draw, for example), that should be commended, not pooh poohed.
Personally, I'm damned glad that the one or two times that I had to pull off a big power draw shot in a tournament, that I actually knew I could do it.
That ability to power draw says something about the ability to execute medium level draws. The reverse isn't true.

I was thinking the same thing. This is silly. I'm a forty, almost forty one year old man that weighs 210. I'll spot this fella fifty or so on the bench, and I break like a biaaatccch.James said:Is this supposed to be impressive? You also look like you weigh 300lbs + or - 5lbs...
1) Not a very impressive bench
2) Not at all related to breaking ability
3) Another worthless attempt at internet toughguyism...
Look at everybodys favorite SVBs build vs. his break...
And yes since I'm barking, I'd gladly have a bench competition with you if we're dividing the results by body weight.
What is the point of this thread again?
Peer said:Too often I see people on this forum making all kinds of claims (usually about their superlative skills, etc.) Most recently was okinawa77's amazing draw skill:
> The best I have done it 18 feet (2 table lengths) on a 9 foot table.
> I can consistently draw full table on 9 footers, and about 50%
> consistency on 1.5 table lengths.
So last night, while me and my buddy Chris (aka "bumpypickle" who might be a strong APA 4) were bullshitting, I got my video camera and captured a few of Chris' draw-shots... and I just put the result up on YouTube:

Hence, it's time to either shut up or put up.

Peer said:I'm sure if Chris could video himself and knew how to put it up on YouTube, he would do this all by himself. Unfortunately, he does not. In fact, at the time when he pointed me to the thread where okinawa77 claimed he could draw two table length, Chris wasn't even a member of this forum.
In any case, you guys need to lighten up. You see, Chris being an APA 4 is just an inside joke for us who know how brilliant player he really is. Besides, smilies are for pussies.
So again -- to all you pussies -- you need to put up or shut up ;^)

D_Lewis said:This is why the APA is a bit of a joke. No 4's around here are going to be able to draw back two feet let alone what he is doing.

bumpypickle said:From what the railbirds are saying I'm going to like playing you. $100 sets are fine by me. Maybe we can have a drawing contest also. How about $100 for every diamond the loser loses by?
