I do like having live coverage for 3 tables. The video quality is excellent.

There are about a dozen refs. Marcel is the head ref. The refs do all the racking with templates. I haven't seen any "earnest discussions" yet.

used to be that balkan players were among the most hot headed. maybe the laid back style of klenti kaci has had a positive effect on the new generation.

What email address did you use to give feedback?
wnttvsupport@matchroom.com

I actually got a response back this morning from a complaint I emailed last night.

Mentioned we used to be able to watch all-day table streams on rewind from both DAZN and YT.

Also complained about the tiny FF/RW buttons and 20-second skip on WNT.TV. A 10-second skip is much better to go between shots, and it was much easier to click on YouTube.

The skip doesn't work for me, lol.

Kind of odd that they use a janky set of unaliased fonts on the overlays for streams for tables 2 and 3, and a good set of aliased fonts on the overlay for stream for table 1.

At this point you can sit next to any table you want to watch. They are mostly arranged in groups of four in a square with "school tables" around them. Table 1 is the only one set in an arena.

The scoring is all done on tablets. The players just press the right + button after a rack. (There's also a - button if you make a mistake.) The score is not really big enough for the spectators to see, but the scoring on the website seems to be immediate and the hotel's wifi is fast, so I just look at my phone. There are also a few larger screens with all the current scores posted.

Marcel is one of my faves. Thanks for these great updates, Bob.

Shane 9-0 in 29 minutes. A shade over 3 mins a rack. I believe he arrived pretty late to the event
I guess he isn’t blaming jetlag, like Bob is 😉

i didn't see his first match, but it's possible he hasn't missed a ball since the US open 8-ball semifinal.

shane has been in the final of this event before, maybe this year he takes the trophy.

Looks like some of the top players are having trouble getting going. FSR missed 2 nines yesterday after coming out hot, Styer is struggling also.
Hope to rewatch Shane's matches, sounds like he's rolling.

Tyler is going to print out and frame a copy of your comment. Must be over the moon to be mentioned as a “top player” in the same breath as FSR.

Marcel, a well-established snooker referee, is a great example of a pool referee who has gotten better and better at his craft.

At first, he did not really understand where to position himself to watch the next shot, but he has become very good at it. His command of the rules has also become impressive. He is all business at the table, and that's the way I like my referees.

Yeah, Shane is the only player to have been in the top 16 of every WNT event.

Yeah, Shane is the only player to have been in the top 16 of every WNT event.
Please clarify. The WNT goes back to 2022. In 2023, in his only appearance at the Spanish Open, he came 17th and he was also 17th at the 2023 Hanoi Open. In both 2022 and 2023, he came 33rd at the US Open 9ball. Looks like your statement is true for 2024. Filler was also Top 16 in every 2024 WNT event, except Hanoi, which he and many others boycotted for political reasons.

All these points aside, if you mean that Shane is a model of consistency in our sport, I agree 100%. His sustained greatness will inspire many players yet to come. I'd really like to see Shane win a major in 2025.

Emily was commenting on a match and had a lot to say.

US Open tix go on sale soon. A $100,000 top prize, 500k total.

"I think we are going to be doing a lot more in the states this year. It just feels like the right thing to do. The U.S. is where it’s at for 9 ball."

Raved about Florida location for the Mosconi. Biggest crowd ever in a US Matchroom event and evidently she loves country music."That was the crème de la crème."

Said it‘s been tougher to sell Mosconi tickets in the U.S. than in Europe until the event got to Florida.

This year she is aiming for 3,000 fans at the Mosconi in Europe. Couches in VIP, waitresses taking orders.

Frazer hopes Sarajevo could be the future home of the Euro Open. Loves the location and support from the city and country.

The PLP will be played in an open arena for the first time.

Some dates and locations for events in 2026 already finalized. She apologized for late sked this year.

More than 250 pros have signed up to on the tour. No all are seeded.

New events coming, more prize money. Some breaking news tonite and the day of the finals.

8-0. no misses, tony has had one or two visits

shane is in crazy form. 9-0
Yup; I just got to watch the match. Six B&Rs for SVB -- a 4-pack and 2 singles. His other 3 breaks were 1 scratch, 1 dry, and 1 wet followed by a safety (not a good safe, but Drago botched the response). No missed shots for SVB, as you said. Drago messed up all 3 of his opportunities.
