Evan Lunda... INSANE cut...!!

It's a standard, tough shot at one pocket. The three problems are:

Missing the ball entirely. A ball spots behind and it's safe.

Scratching on two cushions. This is deader on some tables than others. If you have made the ball, two balls will spot, and it's sort of safe.

Hitting it too full and scratching. Leaves a spot shot for your opponent with a ball near your pocket.

If you hit it well but don't make it, the leave is generally safe.
It was a great shot for sure. I was more impressed by the video you made of the "impossible" cut.;)

He forced his opponent into the miracle. I hate it when I force my opponent to win.

Different wording but I was thinking the same thing. You can't handicap yourself by not shooting at things your opponent will. A single shot maybe, but not over and over.

Playing a monster you have to pretend to be one even if you aren't and hope the pretense holds up for an entire match. Can't play scared against Scott or anybody else.

Some sports give routines maximum point values. Execute a 9.8 routine perfectly and you get a 9.8, ten was never on the table. Taking that to a pool table, Scott is shooting tens. You aren't going to hang with him very long shooting 9.8's.

A year old but i just saw this. WTF???? I know its makeable but still WHAT a stupidly good shot. Wow.
Play so thin that you basically miss the ball. If you hit it, you make it. If you miss, two balls are on the spot and the cueball is up table

i dont remember where i heard it
but it was from an elite player doing commentary
you never want to force a good player to come with the shot
often they will make it
just sayin
I think Bentivegna used to say that.

I can see Johnny(who’s Johnny?) picking the table clean from the OB to the pocket. One small piece of lint is the difference between a great shot and a hanger 🙂

More to do with his confidence than the lint. I played him once long ago. Before his lint picking days thank goodness! That old bar table would have driven us both crazy.

I just made it the other day in a practice session. At $100 per game, not sure I hate my money that much🤣
I look at it as a psychological move. Some players have trouble playing against crazy people. And if it goes in, they won't know how to play you safe. I like the shot in a $10 game.

In the last 30 years of playing 1P, I've probably made it a dozen times. Probably not for more than $20. With all the fliers I shoot, there's usually a waiting list to play meo_O

Does it confirm I am crazy if I think it is not crazy?

Jack Hynes shot was 🤪
