Ever sold a Cue and begged to get it back? Post them up. I am the champ of the world!

This thread is painful. And The thought of this cue. My first Scruggs. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1400007091.183016.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1400007144.630104.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1400007172.822256.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1400007201.069975.jpg

I would buy it! Reminds me Bernards Cue.

Almost traded for a Cue like that. He wanted to give that Scruggs and 3 more custom wrapless Scruggs Cues for a Cochran in even trade that I had sold a month earlier for 5K. Just that one Wrapless TS was $well over 4K.
He wound up having Tony build him something. Bernards Cues were 60 inchers.
Beauty.
I might sell one if you ever feel the need.
Might not,
Nick :)

Oh, I know Nick. That was not Bernie's, but they were made together. He and I are very good friends.

Just saw a scruggs sneaky I sold a while ago back up for sale after a refinish. That cue had so much character! It was all dinged up and beat to hell from years on the road. I sometimes regret selling it, but I suppose its better than buying a cue you hate..

I had a kingwood and curly maple Andy Gilbert South West style . I loved that cue I got it back in the mid, 90's.

I sure regret selling this one..

I've bought, sold and traded a lot of cues over the years but this is one that I will always regret selling. Back when I was in Afghanistan there were many of nights that I stayed up really late or got up very early to make phone calls (because of the time difference) putting the deal together for this cue. When I bought it, the cue was very well used and wasn't even signed or anything. Pete confirmed it to be one of his cues. I had it sent to him for a complete refinish then it was sent to my home in tx as where it sat in the shipping box for probably four months waiting on me to come home from Afghanistan. It was my every day player. I remember being at the super billiards expo and I was practicing on one of the tables amongst the sea of people when Pete saw me and the cue from afar and came over. He was probably about 100ft away talking with some people but came over because he saw the cue. We had a great conversation about it. That's one of the MANY good memories I have with this cue. I was fearless with this cue. I know it's not the arrow it's the Indian blah blah blah but when you find that "magic wand" your whole mental game jumps to a completely different level. I got Into some trouble a few years ago and wasn't allowed to go to any bars which meant I could no longer go to tournaments. Even though I had a table at home I just lost interest in pool after playing for so many years and after playing with this cue every single day. I quit pool and sold this cue. It was without a doubt one of the most single saddest days in my life. After I returned from the post office it felt like I just sold and extension of my arm. Instant sellers remorse.

At the end of last year I started playing pool again after not playing for a couple years. About six months ago? I'm scrolling through azb and there it is. MY cue was for sale! I could to believe it. There it is. After about two years of regret there it is, my beloved Tascarella hoppe is for sale. Here's the kicker, I got fired on Christmas Eve and couldn't afford to buy my cue back. Words cannot express how shitty I felt when my dream cue came up for sale after vanishing for two years and I couldn't afford to buy it back. Damn.

I'm not sure who has it now or where it is. But It was sold not too long ago on here so maybe another az'er has it? One thing I do know, if it ever happens to pop up for sale again, I would do everything on my power to try and get it back. That's for damn sure.

Sorry for the rant, John

Jim Pierce titlist... his personal player. Best hitting cue I've played with. And don't ask me what I paid to get it back.

That might be my favorite Tasc. It took all my will power not to buy it.... shoulda given in

Regret

selling my Cochran when I needed the money. Should have sold a kidney. Wish I could go back in time.

I have owned 2 cues that the previous owners requested to get back. In both cases, the transactions were essentially loans with a security deposit. If there are any Searing owners who want to lend me their cues for a year or so, I promise to take good care of them and exercise them daily.
