Everyone Can Get Stream When Free

It amazes me how when the stream is not PPV that everyone at work and home can get it. If it's PPV most are looking for updates because they can't get it at work or some other reason. Why not just say it's not in the budget? Johnnyt

ha ha - that is an astute observation.

come Monday, those that will be at work will be dying for updates (even though the score is posted) because at work it's hard to stream.

I got lucky and am off on vacation this whole week, in Cape Cod - so I'll be watching every morning with coffee and ocean waves in the back ground. Life can't get any better.

Sounds like the good life to me. Johnnyt

From my perspective, it's a question of is the PPV worth the money ?

I'm a pool fnatic and I watch almost all the good matches that available ( on the internet, on livestream, on DVDs, on TV, you name it ) since 2006. Then it comes to a moment that when I watch a match at least 50% of it is the similar to one I watched before, same players, same game, at least 50% similar situations. I think you understand it.

So now I watch pool only for the "occasion", world class tournaments or some of my favorite players. Otherwise, I don't think it's worth the money to pay like $20-$30 for a regional tournaments.

Funny enough, almost all world class tournaments are free . I did paid for the US Open and the CSI Invitational when the Taiwaneses came over ( not the barbox ), but that's it.

Simple. Pride. Pool players don't want to admit we don't want to pay $15 for a stream. I choose not to pay for tons of streams, and for many different reasons. I'll flat out say it one reason for me is because even $1 is too much sometimes. It's not necessarily the dollar amount, but more so the idea of having to pay for something at all.

I rarely buy PPV streams. If I could download them and watch at my convenience then I would be more apt to purchase them. I cant sit and watch a PPV for a couple hours at a time. When I watch matches on youtube I see them in 1/2 hour increments most of the time or I will have a match running at work and watch 1 game at a time. I would be more than happy to purchase PPV if I could watch in the same format.

Maybe knowing how inept some sites are at providing secure monetary transactions, some people don't want to just throw their credit card information OUT THERE.

I use my credit card online when necessary, but it usually is to established companies that have millions of customers and the ability to somewhat protect my info. I'm not so sure some of the "mom and pop" PPV internet streamers can do the same.

Aloha.

I buy all one pocket streams. More likely to see and learn something new.

If not for the educational benefits. I doubt I would purchase at all.

Fyi , been along time since I bought rotation stream.

I rarely buy streams because I don't have hours and hours to sit in front of a computer to watch them. Paying for something I am probably not going to use is pointless. Occasionally things work out where I have a bit of extra time and I'll look for a good free stream to watch for a while but that is about it.

I pay for streams some times. Can't say I sit and watch the stream hours on end. Many have matches I dont care to watch. Seems matches viewers want to watch are always on a table not being streamed. Now if things were set up like Qatar I would be willing to buy more streams.

Yes, I would too. Johnnyt

Yeah, that's how I feel.

And you same people wonder why there is no pro tour capable of giving professional players a decent living.

I know right.

It's amazing how there WAS a [successful] pro tour long before the days of streaming.

How ever did they do it?

Bingo. Never will use my card online. And paypal? Forget it. Paypal does NOT offer the protection banks do.

The collective IQ of this industry does not allow them to recognize opportunity.

I remember when Mr Nascar went to sponsors and said if you put up money I'll hold some races.

Then there was Mr Golf who went to sponsors and said if you put up money I'll hold some tournaments.

LMAO

my cards have 'shop safe' and im betting you do too-You go online to the cc company-tell them how much you are going to spend and then they give you a one time cc # for a specific dollar amount just for that transaction. Once you buy whatever the crooks could put that number in forever and they get nothing. I dont even use it except for the occasional porno site :) Never had a problem using the real number and ive done at least 500 transactions on line over the years. Still for the worrying types, Shop Safe is there.

One time i used a new card for a hotel at Turning Stone and 2 days later someone tried to buy a bunch of jewelry on the internet with my number. Ive done way more charges online yet it is the in person transaction that was the only one to ever get hi jacked.

I am quite protective of my debit card number. If i get a million dollar cc bill that's on them-Im not paying it. If someone drains $1500 from my bank account -now i gotta fight to get it back and meanwhile im broke.

I am not quite sure what point you are making but I do understand a little of the NASCAR history. NASCAR was around for a long time before they started drawing sponsorship money. Sponsors did not go to Bill France and say "we will give you money to start a racing series". Rather NASCAR had a product that sponsors thought would be a good advertising venue to sell their products.

Mr. NASCAR, or his actual name, Bill France started NASCAR in 1947. He was a race promoter who found out he could make money organizing races. He had the idea of forming a sanctioning body for uniform rules and a real national championship. Up until the early 80s NASCAR was a very regional sport. It wasnt until the early 80s when ESPN started airing the majority of the races that it became nationally known. There was not much sponsorship in NASCAR until the majority of races were aired. RJ Reynolds started their sponsorship in NASCAR because they were no longer allowed to advertise on TV and they had a large advertising budget to use and they thought racing was a good fit.
