Evolution Billiards - HONEST INFO NEEDED

Lamar,

I don't think I referenced you at all. I only mentioned that their email address was misspelled on their website. It will be very interesting hearing Eydie's report, especially if she addresses our concerns. Like who else is running this besides Michael C?

I very much want his tour to take off and succeed, but presently, there are just too many unanswered questions.

Linda

Hey Linda,
I agree 100% with what have stated.

As for me, I'm having a very hard time talking with people with only words as opposed to a face to face conversation.
I can not see the look in the persons eyes nor, can I hear the tone of thier voice.

I'm sorry if I got you upset!!!

You did not upset me, I know you are a nice guy. ;) I'm sorry if I was not clear in the beginning and got you upset. :(

Wish Eydie could tell us what she found out today...

I'm the same way. It appears that they made a good move by halting the site, taking a step back and hiring at least a web professional. I'm going to take a wait and see attitude. I hope the best. Maybe KT might even like the results, who knows.

Thanks Linda,
I would also like to hear from Eydie & am surprised we have not heard from her. But; as I recall, most of Eydie's post are made in the day light hours. I believe she will respond tomorrow.
By the way I've corrected a post of mine that you quoted;
"after all I'm perfect", has been edited to read, "after all I'm not perfect".

Hey Pete Lafond,
Thanks for your response!
I was very glad to see EBS take these steps.
This tour has the makings of the best tour I've heard of. Sorry KT.

Hey all~

I had a 5 hour meeting with Mike today. Yep, 5 hours! This is what I can tell you until they go out with their PR on Jan 1st. I am sworn to secrecy until then. All of this info is directly from Mike C.

1. They have several professional players lined up that will be representing the event. I personally made a call to one of the players directly whom I know well, to confirm his participation, and it was confirmed.
2. I have seen paperwork stating that they have the funds.
3. They are well media connected (meaning that they have a good connection with BIG media sources) and big budgets. $$$$$
4. Fox and Hound along with another hall (name escapes me) have 80 locations for this venue. Fox and Hound in Aurora, IL was upsacle, I assume the others are just as nice.
5. My meeting consisted of Bob, myself, Mike and their PR manager.

I am waiting on some paperwork to be sent to me within the next few days and then should have a bit more info. Until then, let's just wait and see what happens. I hate not being able to spill the beans, but it's only a few more days so let me keep my word to him and as you all know me, I will tell it as it is when I can.I know my answers are really wishy washy but, I given my word that I would not relay all the details until the PR.

Try to be as positive as possible until you see what they are up to. It's going to be the first 110 players who get in FREE, so it doesn't hurt to put your name in the hat.

As far as their web site goes, Mike C. hired someone who he thought knew what he was doing. I have done this in the past and got the shaft several times. I now have a great webmaster (Mike Howerton). The guy that Mike C. hired, did a "not so good job" so all the info was pulled and is being revised.:o

So basically, we are still at square one for a bit longer...

Lamar, Linda and Jen ~ Just keep your fingers crossed, I am.;)

Eydie, Thanks for the update, and I think most of us completely understand that you gave your word to hold back until the press release. I had quite a long talk with Mike the other day, confirmed my membership to the tour and am very excited about the participating in every event I can get to next year.

Mike gave me some "loose" details about the media plans, and I didn't allude to them in my post after our conversation because A) it wasn't my place to do so and B) I didn't want to misquote him on ANYTHING! Even now, the nly thing I will say is that I am extremely impressed with his plans, both immediate and future.

As for Fox and Hounds, I've only been to a few of them, but every one I've seen is TOP SHELF! I'm looking forward to being in Aurora in February.

Thanks,
Bob

well there ya have it! i knew that if anyone knew what was happening over there in that state you would and I am happy with this response. I will cross the toes and fingers. Thanks for helping out in getting this cleared up see you in January

Well it's obviously not a small operation scam which I had feared it might me.

With such high ambitions I certainly wish the organizers / investors good luck. I look forward to seeing the coming developments.

Eydie was the other hall O'Reillys? They are a part of the same corporation.
The Fox and Hounds here is supposed to be very nice but only has barboxes I think. But if they decided to have an event here and needed larger tables there is a "CLICKS Billiards" in the same center very close by.

Are the last 110 free entries still on hold until January?

Terry, I thought you were in already... Also, it is my understanding that they are going to bring in 9' tables for the event.

At The Fox and Hound I was at, they were 9 foot OLD Diamonds. I saw quotes from several different table companies for 30, 9 footers. Then again, they were rethinking going to bar boxes, BUT I doubt if that's going to happen.

That is part of the reason all the info is not out yet. Either way, from what I was told, it will be new equipment.

Terry ~ The other hall/restaurant was Bailey's.

Eydie,

OOPPPS... knew it was something Irish!:D

Pete,

No, I'm just trying to get back to playing pool after years away. Was thinking about getting in some practice and if not too embarassed trying a few Viking type events. The EBS thing was something I started following when it came up. Sounded pretty good to me at the time and still does. The whole profit sharing and insurance side of things makes me think a little embarrassment at the table might just be worth it. Wish I had more time to get in some playing.
Hmmm...maybe I'll make time.

Hey Eydie & Bob,
1st: I would like to thank you & Bob for getting involved & for this report.

2nd: I hope you are stating that Mike Howerton is the new web master for Mike C.

3rd: I have everything crossed, fingers, toes, arms & legs. I sometimes have to get out of this position to eat, sorry.

"Best of Luck for this Tour" & "Have a nice day Guys",

Now that their website is down I am unable to find an email address. Is the only way to contact them via telephone? If so, does someone have a number? Thanks.

Never being one to skip homework, I asked all of the corporations that were banner linked at www.evolutionbilliards.com to comment. Two of the companies have responded so far. The emails have only been altered to remove my personal email address. The return text from the companies is verbatum. Don’t shoot the messenger. I guess I’m gonna wait till after the first event to make a decision, but I thought it would be best to share these emails and let all of us adults make a truly informed decision. I’m gonna wait to mail in my SSN on an insurance for though.

Hello, My name is Todd Riley. Recently, I came across a new tour in Illinois that is selling spots on their upcoming billiard tour thru their website www.evolutionbilliards.com. As you can see from their homepage, they are using several banners from different corporations, including Lugz, to advertise. Is this legitimate? Is your company associated thru sponsorship with this billiard tour or is this some kind of scam? Before I jump into this tour I am asking all of these companies to respond. If you are, great. If not, I guess you can take it from here. Thank you for a reply. Very respectfully, Todd Riley

The next one is from Allstate.

Thank you for visiting the Allstate website and sending us your e-mail. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with us. Allstate is not a sponsor of Evolution Billiards. This was an error on their part and Allstate has been removed from their site.
