Fatboys Tournment Room....Update!!

Lost

I googled Eric Petersen Las Vegas and I got some strange stuff.

Where is this located again?

I stayed at Mandala Bay last time I was there and felt like I was a mile away from the strip.

I like Golden Nugget better.

Sounds a lot like the way Johnston City began -- first as an action room behind their hotel/bar, then as a small tournament -- 14 players that first year, 1961.

Go get 'em Eric!

I wouldn't worry too much about anyone taking advantage of Fatboy. He's a nice guy but nobody's fool. He could give most of us the five and the break when it comes to business acumen.

I look forward to having some fun over there next year. The first Fatboy Jamboree should be a blast!

Shouldn't the first annual Fatboy Jamboree showcase a match between Jay H and Joey A???

Eric -- This sounds fantastic. I'm excited about the prospects of a private room like this. I'm heading out to Vegas again on the 26th to visit with friends and play blackjack after Christmas. Let me know if you want to play some one pocket.

Oh and have you had a mechanical engineer take a look at the structural integrity of that room given that its not on the ground floor level? Was the floor designed to hold the weight of a concrete slab, 12 pool tables, and 100 people? Just wanted to ask this just in case. If you haven't, I strongly suggest that you do this before you put the tables in there.

Ok Glen, It's killing me.......what are the holes for?

Ray
The holes are for the new heating system, it's so cold here now!!! Pack in a few hundred people next winter downstairs drinking and dancing, the body heat rises up though the holes under the bleechers and you have free heat during pool tournaments;)

I figured as much, but thought that it couldn't hurt to hear about it explicitly.

Franky, Fatboy doesn't miss a trick. You'd be hard pressed to find a something on his property that he is not knowledgeable about. Despite his lack of spelling expertise he is one smart dude, on a wide range of subjects.

So, it is to promote pool AND weddings....hmmmm....seems like a contradiction to me! :)

I wish you well, Fatboy.

Lots of hours laying in bed with a bad back and thinking... and planning, and visualizing and thinking and talking and planning and dreaming.

You I'm very happy for you Eric. This will be great for pool and consequently for you too.

Fatboy, here's an idea to bounce off you

Eric, I'm not sure if this is a good idea but what do you think about hosting a women's event out there? Women's pool has been very competitive and exciting lately. Seems like a lot folks enjoy watching the ladies.

Whatever you do, I'll support it any way I can.

the room below it is atually bigger, it goes underground wit ha tunnel to another building, It wont be used for pool as getting the boxes up and down is too much work, So what I have in the pics will have to do for pool etc. The wedding biz will be strong I hope. I need about 6 weeks to finish that room, the electrical is the biggest thing the HVAC is easy. It pisses me off to no end this was suppost to be finished oct 07,   , it will be done March 08 until the final touches are done.

No you see.....

Lol...Within minutes after my first wedding, I was in the basement (where the food was) playing pool...until I looked up at my new wife buring holes into me with her eyes.

Yes, dear...ummmmm, maybe that's why she was my FIRST wife?
