You are correct sir, I was only 1,512 days past 60...(accidently figured current age) Never was any good at math.
But I can figure out, that John tied with a BUNCH of good player's that went 1 win--2 losses... And there was another
HUGE bunch he couldn't beat, that went 0 and 2 ...Whats your point ?
...He actually caught lightning in a jug, toget his one win..(but he knows that)

Despite SJD's objections the APA made me a nine in 9 ball when I did play in that league.
People should not use APA rankings to help gauge someone's skill level that's for sure. A 7 in 8 ball in one state could easily be a 5 in another state. I know of a couple of 7s where I am at that just make me shake my head wondering how the heck they are that level...then I remember where I am located and it makes perfect sense lol.
*and* aside from the state-to-state disparity...
I have witnessed a semi-pro level player playing as a 5 in APA.
it's just a guideline, a very abused, often inaccurate guideline.

I mean I have no doubt SJD was great player. But there are dozens of run out players here whose names will never be famous. I played a guy last night who handles his cue ball extremely well - never heard of him until I asked a friend.
I played for several hours with Mary Kenniston last night and we had such a great time I was hurting from laughing so hard. Mary can spot most people the six out in telling pool stories and be stealing. At one point I said to Mary I am developing my insecurity complex to balance out my superiority complex. No one is ever described as having a mediocrity complex.
Has anyone here ever had an actual pissing contest? Do people gamble at this? Can you train for it? Are there rules?
Well, I think we should handicap it a bit to make it fair. SJD's prostate is bound to have an effect at his age
