Florian has company!! TRICK SHOTS.....amazing.

Check out that kid's earlier video. I think it's number 5. He has his table in the dining room/office right next to the kitchen. one quarter of the table is bumped up against the corner of the room making it unplayable at all. Some of the shots you see his mom on one side of the table in her bathrobe on the computer and another you see his dad in the kitchen.

Those are some really understanding and supportive parents/guardians!

yes they are!!! the noise would drive me batty (battier)
just watched it
hats off to mom & dad
if he wasnt doing this , he'd probably be on his iphone & facebook 24/7
wonder if that window ever got broken?

this kid is better in my opinion...his vids are not doctored up

Woooow...Am I really on the best pool players forum in the world and I just hear that? Someone hit me lol

I've never ever ever doctored up any of my videos but you know, I'm glad you think I did, that just means it's too good to be possible for you... Maybe you should practice more and you'll have better idea on what's possible and not on a table...

As for being better, as I told, what he is showing is shots that I created months and years ago, he might get better than me and I will be happy with that, however, there is a huge difference btw creating and copying shots... Same for consistency, that's things you've got to learn!

And next time you judge that quickly, check out my last stuff before: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lbbHZiAnlps&list=UUJ5CbZcEPyD2qA6PNFkRZWg&index=1&feature=plcp

I never really used forums and I think now I remember why, there always going to be haters here denying what I'm trying to do to help promote the sport. No big deal, my love for the sport is bigger than that ;)

I disagree Florian. Mike Massey and Ralf Eckhart and several others have toured Europe extensively while you were still a baby and they impressed the audiences as much as you impress them now.

If Andy Segal were to tour Europe then his show would get applause and praise just as much as yours does. You have two different approaches to the art of trick-shots. Both are equally valid in their own right and both are equally entertaining.

While I prefer your brand of more stroke shots I still like to see creative shots from others as long as the setup isn't 30 minutes and the "trick" very gimmicky. But that's where showmanship comes in and that's a part of a trick shot show.

John <--------was a member of a high diving team, comedy diving team and also a comedy trampolinist, in the USA and Europe.

yeah true statement actually, didn't think about it that way lol I actually have a gig with Ralph tomorrow in Germany, it's usually lot of fun :)

Can I register as a hater? I want to go on record as saying I hate you because you do things with the cue ball that make me want to throw away all my cues. You are like the anti-viagra for a pool player. I mean I think I am doing something impressive if I draw my ball table length. You draw the ball in three different directions. I was impressed by Semih Sayginer years ago and I am ASTONISHED by the action you get on the ball.

You are SICK!!!!

I am sorry...... WHAT!!!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lbbH...tailpage&list=UUJ5CbZcEPyD2qA6PNFkRZWg#t=158s

Stop it you are really going to make my head explode.

If you want to learn so Trick Shots a fellow here in AZ Teamed Up with Mick Massey, and made it fairly easy with his Trick Shot DVD, and Templets. LINKED RIGHT....FYI

Seriously! Or any of the many glass vases by the window. Understanding and TRUSTING parents. I'd have cleared that room out of all valuable breakables of it was my kid.

Florian...I love your new videos!

My two cents about the doctored up comment:

I read that to mean that you use a lot more editing techniques to add style to your vids. Like that collaboration video where you use slow motion and negative images a lot. I did not read that person's comment to mean that you are faking anything or doing any of those tricks merely by editing the video. Who, seriously, who could possibly think that? I'd like to hear what was truly many by "doctored up" myself. Either way, don't get yourself worked up over one small comment. I personally am new to forums and am hoping to learn some artistic pool. It would be beneficial to have you stick around the forum and add your knowledge. But if you get worked up over stupid comments...there will be more trolls commenting just because they know they can get a reaction from you. Anyways...keep up the great work and videos. I am learning quite a bit from you just like the kid in the OP's post.

Lol You a hater? Sorry I don't buy it^^ But thanks, even If I almost stopped making videos I kept practicing and here is the result...Ohh and actually most of the shots on this carom video are possible on my pool table, I'm just keeping them secret for some bigger projects ;)

we've reached a point you need to bring 6 jump cues, it's beginning to be terrible for travels^^
hehe... Florian, have you ever met Fabrice Lemesle ?(Billard Club Phoceen ). When not, then when you meet him at an artistic billard tournament , take a look at what he's travelling with : a porper 12x24 full of Longoni's, and that's not enough, if he could bring 24 butts & 48 shafts, he would ROFL :D ( ... to play around 30% ... )

I noticed though the guy is left-handed he shots most jump shots with right hand
???

Didn't Florian learn the same way checking out the internet and practicing/recording videos on a really crappy pool table? I also remember his girlfriend (I'm assuming) sitting on the computer in the background in a few of the early vids lol.

Nice discussion going on. Funny enough I dont think Jop even knows he is being discussed overseas. I take some pride (but not much) that I found his channel a while ago.

I was searching all over youtube for the compilation Ive made and also came across Jopssports' channel. At first I thought it was one of those "Hurray I shot the railroad"-videos. But quite quickly I saw shots that I hadnt seen anywhere on youtube. And I had been watching ALOT.

I made some comments and we chatted a bit and when I found out he didnt got tutored in any way I was baffled even more. I told him to go find a mentor and mentioned www.poolkrant.nl (the dutch AZ forum). He said he was looking for a website like that for a long time. He posted some messages a couple months ago and thats when things got into motion.

Not looking for respect here. Massive respect goes out to him mking the shots, and also to the poolroom who sponsors him with cues and lessons. Just enjoying that I said to him to take this to the next level (which wouldve been a matter of time anyway) nd now hes taking it to the next level!

I wonder what that monopolist Andy Segal thinks of all this budding talent in the trickshot world? I hope to god someone fires him! He's gonna singlehandedly ruin artistic pool. These young guns are artisic pool's last hope.

All these years I've been shooting pool and that kid makes me feel HELPLESS! :p
P.S. I'd still play him Banks for his lunch money.

Lol.. these are the kind of shots that are really only fun for my grandma or my niece (7). But if you got some skills in telling funny and entertaining stories around them they become nicer. If Andy would have a great joke on how the 8 ball got into that balloon, then fine.

but it seems (to me- and Im only watching and enjoying trickshots for 2-3 yrs now, so Im not an expert) that trickshotshooters have been a little lazy!
There are the artistic billiard championships in which people are doing shots that most of them can- but they have to score on consistency and how nice the shots are executed. Thats nice. It seems though that quite a bunch of shooters take more effort into disguising easy shots to make them look hard, then to take it to the next level.

It seems that youtube has started a little competition between all the shooters! Florian is raising the bar. I also want to mention Biljartkeizer. He too comes up with amazing videos. Then theres others like eagletrickshots and jopssports who are trying to get there and look promising.

conslusion: to me (and again: I am just a watcher and a lousy shooter, but I understand whats going on in a trickshot) it seems that trickshots are evolving to new levels.

Nice!!

edit: alot of seeming these days!

Very entertaining and skillful kid

I'm surprised that no one mentioned that the table is doctored though. Many of those slow rolling object balls cling to the rails near the pocket in impossible ways. He has troughed along the rails to help the balls go in the pockets. Not saying this is bad as it's very creative to the overall effect but if he goes on the road in a contest on a level table he's gonna lose much of his magic. He will retain impressive quantities of it for sure though. Having pointed that out, I love his videos and his skills .

I'm not sure the rails are altered, but I did notice that he lowers the legs for some shots. The very last shot on the VI 6 video is pretty obvious.
