This cue measures approximately 57 11/16 with both shafts. The cue weighs 20.8 ounces with one shaft and 20.4 with the other. Both shafts are approximately 13 mm.

The cue when rolled has a high spot to it with both shafts. The tips of the cue DO NOT come close to lifting off the table when rolled. There are hairline cracks in the butt cap.

This cue has a total of 158 inlays. There are 22 black dots in the maple forearm and 136 dots in the rosewood. The cue has a nickel silver piloted 5/16-18 joint. The butt end of the cue has a clear window like the Palmer and Paradise cues of the same era. Are any of you collectors aware of a Spain cue without a wrap?

The majority of the Spain cues I have seen are much newer examples. If you want a nice old example of Burton's work don?t miss your chance.

I purchased this cue from the original owner in March of 2007. He told me he paid Burton $190.00 for this cue in 1967.

SOLD!

PM, email rob@billiardbuyersgroup.com, or call 402-730-2315.

Thanks,
Rob Montgomery

Sadly, I am not in a position to make a purchase on this cue.

Thanks for the posting and good luck.

Oh my god.... that is just incredible. Incredible!!! The super pictures you took are going to help the sale of this cue for sure. The fact that it is an early Spain.. well, that's a factor too ;)

Good luck with the sale of one of the works of my favourite cuemaker.

Rob is definitely one of the good guys. No worries about doing a transaction with him for sure. He's a top knotch guy selling top shelf items.

Window

Is that a lucite window in the butt? Is there anything written in there?

Thanks

Kevin

Where are the Spain collectors?

Will consider cash plus trade for rare antique billiard items or fancy Justis case.
