In the hospital...Baby Girl coming!!! Had to vent.
After 15 months of trying to sell this table here on AZ...that everyone that's ever been on AZ has seen your "for sale" and passed on it. So, I'd think that either (a) you're asking more than anyone's willing to pay...or (b) I'd think about changing the horse you've road to death with no results as of yet...(15 months) to another venue like Craig's list or something else...other pool forums maybe?
Diamond has sold well over 1,000 tables since you first posted this table for sale...so I don't really think the economy has all that much to do with the lack of sale of your table, though nice as it may be...people are just not that much into buying things over priced any more today...which is another reason why banks are sitting on so many forclosures...over priced is just to hard to sell anymore
Glen
Good luck with your new addition to the family. Hope all goes well for the baby and Momma.
Congrats!
Dave
I think Glen wants me to take my 1958 Fender Stratocaster to the Pawn Star guys and get $1500 for it. Really Glen, my mint Anniversary is not worth 6K and a Diamond is? I'm not trying to knock Diamond Tables because they're great, I just like old cues, old music and old tables. After 15 months of trying to sell this table here on AZ...that everyone that's ever been on AZ has seen your "for sale" and passed on it. Obviously I'm in no hurry to sell. I still enjoy playing on the table and want to get a fair price for it. It's the most cherry non-restored Anniversary I've ever seen on this site. It's all original except for the rubber and cloth.
IMO, this table as well as the Centennials are pieces of art that are built like tanks and play as well as any table ever made. Sorry you don't see that Glen.
Well then....let me help you understand something that maybe you didn't think about...when selling something like your pool table here on AZ....the LONGER you keep bumping it up...the more views it gets....like over 11,000 views already....the LESS likely you are to sell it....because when so MANY people have viewed this thread....and the table is STILL for sale....15 months later...people start questioning why someone ELSE hasn't already bought this table....since it's such a great deal and everything![]()
Then you've made mistakes like offering it a new LOWER price...which whether you realize it or not...was higher than your opening price...the you start offering all kinds of things to go along with the sale....etc...
So... here's a little free education for you...and the person that questioned a time limit on how long something should be for sale
You'd have better luck selling your table if you let this thread die...off into the dust...for say 90-120 days...then starting a NEW thread...for NEW readers....instead of showing NEW readers...how LONG you've been trying to sell this table...and haven't sold it yet....so it must be OVER priced...which is WHY it hasn't sold yet...because by continuously bumping this thread...that is exactly what you're really saying...to a new reader.
I don't think you have to tell me what the table is worth...because as you already know....working on pool tables is my job....and that has nothing to do with Diamond...as I've been a top table mechanic for lets say....oh...the last 27 years or so
Just think about what I said...and I think you'll agree with me..if not, wish you the best of luck....as I most likely don't know what I'm talking about
Glen
