Yes. So you think the server that people avoid and the server that people request to sit in their area deserve the same tips? The server being avoided needs to find a different line of work.

I was at a lunch with co-workers in which 5 of the attendees were former servers. One of them complained about all the people that had the nerve to leave a 1 cent tip, or just the coins. The other 4 all claimed to have never experienced that. Was the 1 worker just 'unlucky' with the tables she served? Or was it the fact that she was a poor server?


It could've been the environment as well. A server in a small town has surely been left the change for a $2.00 breakfast but a server in a deli in a big city has probably not experienced that.

It's all relative.
