Funny pic/gif thread...

For the gear-heads out there, this should creme your pants. Bonus points if you can identify what car and manufacturer this engine is for.

Hint: Makes over 650 hp above 7,500 rpm and is a production engine/car.

I'm no mechanic, but I'm pretty sure that this is the powerplant in my 1995 Subaru Legacy wagon. Its a pretty sweet ride for sure and I really turn the ladies heads when I cruise past them in this sheik sled.

That coupled with my profession as an accountant, and you can not imagine the groupies!

I like both the "OMG" imprinted on the cam drive gears(?) and the always-needed, regardless of pedigree....hammer.

Jim, I finished off my hockey career by cross checking a guy across the nose.

I was playing junior hockey, the next step would have been one division up, then a farm team or the NHL if I were to be so lucky.

I was the Captain of that team, my assistant was Dirk Graham who happened to end his career as captain of the Chicago Black Hawks. Good guy he was and deserved more than what he got.

I was playing defense, had the puck and was just about to pass it forward when some A Hole on the other team took his stick and gave me a good shot between the legs.

Of course, none of the fans saw this, they just saw me cross check the guy across his nose and make a bit of blood happen on the ice.

Yeah, so cans work if you take one straight on, not from underneath.

Anyway, that was the last time I played a game of hockey. I went out with a bang but pretty sure the guy that did that to me never used his stick on another players package ever again.

But I remember the early days of the NHL. One goalie, Gump Worsely and any of the other goalies never wore a mask. Man, that must have been brutal.

Ah, thats why women think they are smarter than men.

Never thought of it that way.

They are just walking Hard Drives.

I had excluded the 20 or so MC-12's that were built as they weren't "production" for all intensive purposes.

The valve-train and internals for the F430's are so vastly different (as is the drive-train) that I the motors are basically distant cousins in the same light that the base lancer and lancer evolution are not the same car.

Poor Maserati, they are like the 6 cylinder Mustang's of the 60's when compared to their big brothers with the 5.0 V8.

The saying is "for all intents and purposes". You aren't the first one to make that mistake i might note however.
