I do like action. But to go to all the tournaments that you have to get 4th in to make any money I just can't go. I don't see how others do as well. As of right now the chances I would make money or break even just isn't enough. I could do it if I lived with my mom and no bills. I play in many around in my area, though. ESP Shannon's tournaments. Men have been playing at top levels with all the knowledge so much longer that it would take a while for women to really catch up and that is with them doing the road thing and going to most af the men tourn. My opinion. Over and out everybody, nice chattin but I have to go now. I have a hair appt. I really do.

THAT's the issue Monica. Good for you. Women don't go around dissing men and saying they suck. If they did, then maybe all this woman-woofing would make some sense. But they don't so it doesn't.

I have consistently objected to that sort of thing and have taken HUGE flak for doing so...but that's OK with me. I DESPISE bigotry in EVERY form and will oppose it so long as breath warms my body.

Bigotry is an evil thing and I agree that it should be opposed. For that very reason, it is irresponsible to shout bigotry when and if it did not occur.

If you see an example of a post that you feel is expressing bigotry, please nip it in the bud by addressing the specific poster who you feel is out of line. Otherwise, making a vague statement about it at the end of a thread (which may not even be the same thread where you thought it occurred) is doing no help to anyone, IMO.

This can be like shouting fire in a crowded building because there's a fire two towns over. Please, post responsibly.

Mr. Zero - really, your ability to dissect every word of every post is ridiculious. You have your comprehension, the rest of the world has theirs.

Obviously, Hemi was speaking on behalf of Reid. Hemi (a respected poster) certainly wouldn't post such a thread without Reid's knowledge.

More comprehension - Monica stated that she would step up and play the posters that she felt were being unfair to women. That was the reason I suggested she have a post to take on 'all comers' or whoever she felt the need to gamble with.

Reid wants to gamble with women, giving the 7. Can't get any more simple than this. You keep saying that women can play with the men - people with the opinion of yourself are probably the reason why Reid came up with this gambling notion. Unfortunately, people like you have no heart to put a woman that finished top 20 @ DCC in the box. Funny thing is - two women pros have come on here & stated that they cannot compete with the men at this time. They have taken any post that you have made in this thread & turned it to dust (please don't tell me that you can't find the dust, that is just a figure of speech).

Please, have a valid argument. Dissecting posts ad nausea is getting old & weak. Try to stay on subject for at least 6 seconds.

That's just flat not true and you know it. TONS of posts in these threads have suggested that even Alli...with the greatest record in women's pool of all time...couldn't even finish in the money at DCC.

Others said that she would be robbed by 50 players in every state. (do the math).

Those comments DO NOT suggest that Monica is a "great player" so don't try to set the world land speed record...in reverse.

Admit bashing and dissing when it exists.

But Monica NAILED IT. Generally, men can beat women.

Please get your panties out of a wad. I said I and most posters here do not single out women. It is a different competitive level. That is accepted. The challenge was made. It will not likely be taken. The women play well, much better than all but recognized male players. The only issue you could have with me is that I don't sugarcoat it.

1. It is not likely a woman takes this challenge.

2. It is most likely a woman would lose this challenge.

3. Reid is not one of the top 50 players in the world.

4. There are many male shortstops that compete at a level equal to or above the best women.

5. Women have yet to hit the gear that men have.

6. Pro women play much better than the average guy in the poolroom and there is no doubting their abilities.

7. I will put my money where my mouth is and bet it. I will also put a woman in action if she wants a game here. I am an equal opportunity stakehorse.
