I remember years ago Santos Sambajon gave Jennifer Chen the 6-out.
She didn't get to shoot much.
Granting Jennifer Chen wun't Allison or Karen.

Ask Willie what happened when John Hager Jr gave Jeanette the 7?

Also, I can't believe that John Barton hasn't put his two cents into this thread with Kelly Fischer.

Didn't Choo Choo Coltrain give Alllison the 7-out too when Choo Choo had that pretty stroke?

If you were lucky enough to have checked up one "Y" chromosome short and can play pool,,,,,, have I got good news for you.

You don't have to travel to the Republic Of The Philippines to get the 7 ball and win a ton of cash. You also don't have to play anyone with the first name, Shane, Cory, Alex, Ralf, Johnny, Gabe, Larry, Brian, Stevie or John.

What is required of you and/or your backer is cash and a lot of heart. You will not have to sit and watch a player run out on you with the looks of a Minnesota Fats. Rather, the player you will be watching run out on you more resembles a Tom Curise. So, although you will probably "Dog-It" it will be a pleasurable experience.

All of you pool detectives can put this in the street and on the net. Simply let me hear from you and the details can be worked out. BTW, this is the gentleman you ladies will be playing.

Tom Curise might file a defamation suit against you for that remark!
LOL.

And does he have a little willie or something? Why does he want to pick on the girls?

I don't know ONE of them who goes woofing around bragging that they can beat the men. A few of them...Karen and Allison, for example...just show up and the DCC and beat PLENTY of men...but with style and grace...winning the respect and admiration of practically everyone in the building.

I knew it wouldn't take long for the WPBA Police to show up and make some rediculous comment.

Based on $Bill's post, there is no woofing or picking on the girls going on here. It clearly states that it IS an offer to play them AND give up the 7 ball. After all the woofing you guys did at the men you had to expect one of them to step up. Well here it is.

BTW, where do you think Reed would currently rank among the top males today?

Bill, that is ridiculous that Reed only wants to give up the 7. I'm sorry to say that Karen, Allison, Jasmin...none of the girls can get there with that. I know he hasn't been playing as much or on the scene as much in the past but that boy can play, no matter how long the break. I know I had a real good time playing him a few years back in Mobile....oh wait, thats right, I shot once, I got to kick. Granted that was a race to 9 on a barbox, when he hits a gear...he really hits it. There are alot of good guy players that wouldn't even take just the 7 from him.

Sarah

Sarah,

Just curious what you think is fair between Allison and reed on a tight 9 foot?

I know it won't ever happen but I am curious as to what you think is fair.

lmao, i know this is probably an honest question on your part, but, dude, seriously, allison wouldnt stand a chance.

1) Tournaments & gambling are two different things. Jasmine is a nice player but if she wants to lineup and gamble with those players she beat IN TOURNAMENTS, she might quit pool.

2) Allison or any other top female player would need 'something' and the break. The 8 or last 3. The big difference in men/women is rack stringing. It is difficult to gamble with someone when the can put together 4-5-6 racks and the best you can do is 2-3.

3) Who is to say where Reid would be right now as no one (except Bill) has heard of him playing anyone. Maybe his new pool room/bar has inspired him but last I heard, it was hard to get him off the couch. On a bar table, in his home town, I think he is undefeated. In the rest of the country, he has about the same record.

And there you have it. Spot on Sarah, good post. If Reed actually get a game going with the 7, he better make the opponent prove hes actually a genetic woman, because the only people who will step up with be men in drag maybe.

I will say this...if Reed wants to travel and play in another spot besides his home court, there is a smaller chance that a "more money than brains" backer will stake someone like Karen Corr in the right spot. For 10-50k though, I would have to think the chances are pretty slim.

allison can string rack's,watched her string seven against grady mathews.;)
still don't think she could get ther with just the seven though

That's why i asked, genius

So many people on AZB think the Ladies play real close to the level of the men. So why not ask a Lady Pro what she thinks. This thread probably stemmed from all the trash talking about how the ladies play so close with the top 100 men in the world.

I don't see how me asking Sarah what would be fair between them can spark such a smart a$$ remark. It is just a question

I agree that the women would need a spot. So do they by the way which is why I think it is so weird that there is so much woman-woofing...as though they were running around shouting that they can beat the men.

But the 8 vs. the last 3 is a HUGELY different spot. The 8 will only make a difference in one rack in ten. It's almost a "sucker spot." But the last 3 will make a difference at least one third of the time.

Jim

With a tight rack a hard break is not needed nor even desired. I watched Bartram a few weeks ago play Shannon Murphy a set and Bartram used a soft break and made the wing ball at least seven out of 8 breaks and left the one sitting near the corner pocket and the cue ball dead in the middle of the table.

Also, when I watch the girls on the boob tube, which is seldom, all I hear is Mitch Lawrence bragging how we are being treated to get to watch the greatest pool players on the planet in action. He once was lamenting on Allison Fischer that she was the greatest pool player to ever pick up a cue. Seems as though maybe she should be giving up the spot. Of coarse, the women's pocketing ability seems to diminish when the play on a table with real pockets instead of rather large sewers. I've seen them bank a ball into the corner pocket and the ball hit the second diamond up the long rail and still go. Unbelievable.

Dick

What is "unbelievable" is the ridiculously biased nature of your post.

Re: Lawrence's comment, he was talking about WOMEN players.

Re: women's pocking ability diminishing on thight pockets....that happens to be true for everyone, sir, not just women...who, by the way, have been playing on 4.5s for a while now.

"I've seen them bank a ball into the corner pocket and the ball hit the second diamond up the long rail and still go. Unbelievable."

Well...ummmm...do you think that hitting the 2nd diamond up on the long rail is always the wrong place to hit the rail? Don't you think it kinda depends on where the OB is?????????

LMAO.

Jim
