Of course, that is not true. Neither can you cite a single post of mine that would substantiate your claims that I am a liar.

You seem to enjoy ragging on me...which I think is actually pretty funny...coming from a guy...if you are a guy...who doesn't even know what woofing means.

Are we having fun yet?

(-:

Keep lying to yourself and others, I do not doubt that you already believe them.

Also i am sure that you think this is fun considering you continue to make idiotic remarks. BTW did you call reed and ask him about the size of his member yourself or are not not enough of a man to say it directly to him?

nevermind we already know the answer

Reed Pierce

Mr. Pierce isn't in the top 100 players probably because he doesn't play much in the pro tournaments. In realty he probably is.

As most everyone knows the 7 Ball isn't much weight at all when World Class players play each other. How many men would accept this challenge against Mr. Pierce? I wouldn't think more than a 100. How about spoting games on the wire in a race? Now theres real weight.

One more thing that I'm sure will get everybody excited. The last women that threaten the men first name was Jean. She started getting in the money in the Open tournaments and beat several of the top men at the time. Since the men at the time didn't like getting beat by a woman they formed the Mens Proffessional Billiards Association (MPBA, formally know as the Professinal Billiards Association PBA) solely to keep her out! Now theres alot of guts for ya! I asked a well know player of the time who had played them both as to who was better- Allision or Jean. This person said clearly JEAN WAS BETTER. I would of liked to seen Mr. Pierce play her even and I think she would of won with the 7 Ball. I know its a "What if BS" but I think there is enough Azers out there that have seen Jean play, what do they think?

Based on his actions the question is warranted. If there is a better term that I am unaware of please feel free to list it. I was trying to be PC about it but I could have asked him if he was retarded instead. Would that have made you happier?

BTW, don't tell me that is bad compared to what he has said in this thread. If you aren't going to address the root of the problem then don't tell me that I need to change the way I react to the problem. Thanks

My actions have been to express my opinions regarding what I consider to be demeaning commentary regarding the skill level of primarily Allison and Karen on the part of some people and to rebutt the opinions of others expressed politely but in my opinion, inaccurately.

Your actions have been to pick fights with me and others and to accuse me of taking positions that I have never taken and then refuse to substantiate them.

There are plenty of posters here who disagree with some of my views and plenty who agree with them. Such is the nature and purpose of discussion forums.

But you choose to simply make up ridiculous accusations from your fertile but rather skewed imagination and when challenged to substantiate them you duck like a hen mallard.

And with respect to your suggestion that everyone on this forum agrees with you, there is no need to use the search function to prove the falsity of your position because it is evident within this thread.

Finally, while I do not suggest that you continue to violate forum rules by posting further ad hominem attacks, I hope that you do.

You raise an excellent point in that men...too many men...seem to be ego involved in maintaining "superiority" over women in many aspects of life. I'm not a sociologist and don't want to drag the thread into the reasons for the above...I am only citing reality.

But as far as Jean vs. Allison, I am honored to be friendly with both of them and can assure you that neither of them is interested in that debate.

It's sort of that age old "Could Ali beat Joe Louis or Marciano etc. that never has been answered and never will be answered in spite of numerous "expert opinions" on both sides.

The same is true with Alli and Jean. There are PLENTY of people who have seen them both play 9 Ball...who favor one over the other.

Jean, of course, played a great deal of straight pool and Allison MUCH less so...but still won some important 14.1 tournaments.

IMHO, Jean had no female equal in 14.1 and since Alli does not play much...hardly at all in the last several years, she nevertheless scored higher than the few women...but including Jeanette Lee (who plays LOTS of straight pool) in Bob Jewett's straight pool challenge at DCC.

But I am sure that most, including Allison, would agree that Jean was the top female 14.1 player. Possibly Jasmine is her heir apparant. Only time will tell.

Jim

Why don't you two take it in the chatroom instead of screwing up this thread...no one wants to hear your BS. Johnnyt

I had the chance watch Jean play a number of times. The first time was in the early '70s at the famous Johnson City tournament. She had a better stroke than half the men there and she was 12 years old at the time. In my opinion, if Jean had not had that dispute with the womens tour and decided to leave the tour in her prime, Allison would still be chasing Jean's records.

Having lived in La. not far from Jackson, Ms. I also know Reed. Scotty T. and I made several trips to the Office Bar in Jackson where Scotty and Reed had some epic battles on that bar box with the big cue ball.

As for your "what if", I believe Jean would have definetly had a chance getting the 7 from Reed if they they were on a big table with tight pockets. She might have even been the favorite. But if it was on a bar box, the 7 wouldn't matter and Reed would have simply been too strong.

1. Your actions have been to insult Reed Pierce, twist peoples words around into something you can argue about, and to lie in front of everyone here.

2. I don't care about you enough to pick a fight with you, don't kid yourself. You have argued with everyone about this subject ever since I started reading this forum. (long before I joined). The fact is that you take what people say about the women as a personal insult to you. Then you run your mouth to them for absolutely no good reason. Everyone knows that you do these things and there are tons of posts by you that back it up. I know it would make your day to have me waste my time going through your posts and put them here so you would have to stop lying. Unfortunately or you I won't waste my time because everyone who has read those threads already knows that I am right.

3. There are definitely alot of people who disagree with your views about how the top women compare to the top men. The reason for this is because you either don't have an understanding of what gambling entails or you just refuse to admit what everyone else already knows is true. Why do you think Sarah Rousey said that Allison, Karen, etc can't win. You act like you are some kind of know it all and personal defender of the women pool players. When most of the time there is no reason at all for you to say anything at all. You have twisted the meanings of tons of peoples post on the subject just so you can fight with them. You act like a little kid.

4. I haven't made any false accusations toward you! Everyone who reads these threads knows that you always get involved in defending the womens ability to play pool with the top men, you take little phrase out of context or you twist a few phrases so you have something to fight about. Most people don't care enough to bother with you and that is why most stop arguing with you. they know just how pointless it is because you have no idea what you are talking about and you still want to argue.

5. Anyone who can read and has read your posts in these type threads knows exactly why you are always involved with an argument in them. The thread you started about the Derby City is a perfect example of you trying to initiate an argument and you twisting peoples words around so you can find some way to make 1 halfway valid point. Why do you think so many people stop trying to explain it to you. THEY KNOW THERE IS NO POINT!!!

6. What you call a hominem attack was actually a justified question based on your actions and my knowledge of human behavior. I really wanted to know if there was a reason for you to act the way you do. I tried to word it correctly and maybe I failed at it but no one has suggested a more PC way to ask that question. What is amazing is how you think that me asking a legitimate question that I really wanted to know the answer to is worse than what you said about Reed having a little ****. I mean what do you think would happen in real life if you made that remark to his face based on him offering up action that you were a big part in creating? It's time for you to learn to accept some responsibility for the things you do. Especially the lies and insults regarding people ****'s. Would you have told me to shut my pie hole to my face? I seriously doubt you would unless you had some people around you that might protect you. I really hope you learn something from this because even I don't want you to learn it the way many people have to. I don't wish any bad things on you at all, but i will not respond to anymore of your posts because you have proven to be not worthy of my time. there are plenty of people on AZB for me to have conversations with that don't act like you.

Thanks for wasting part of my day :)

I would also like to apologize to everyone else reading this thread. It is in fact mostly my fault. I knew almost 2 months ago that Jim was not worth responding to and I failed to put him on ignore back then. If I would have made a better choice back then, this could not have ever happened. He is now on my ignore list and I will not read his future posts. He can insult my mother, tell me to shut my pie hole or even talk about my male member for all I care because i won't see it. the problem is now fixed.

Here is the final end all point on this subject that will end any & all discussion by av84fun:

Please list the women that have gambled & won playing any top male player with the 7 ball. When you can put a name on this list & name the game, I will continue to listen to any post that you make as having any kind of intellectual basis.

If ANYONE had the same belief & mentality as you, then surely one of these women champions would be put in the box to take on the men. If you would like to pick a woman to get the 7 & stake her, then I will surely listen to what you have to say.

Reed Pierce

Thanks to both 8v84fun & M House for their comments on Jean and the "what if" on Jean playing Mr. Pierce. I have only seen Jean play a couple of times and I have never seen Reed play but I'm sure he's a world class player with a lot of heart.

BPG24...Your post contained multiple additional ad hominem attacks...falsehoods that you were challenged to substantiate and threats of physical violence if someone told you to shut up.

You also suggested that asking someone if they suffered from the horrible affliction of Down Syndrome was POLITICALLY CORRECT! AMAZING!

With respect to your false assertions of my posts re: Allison and the DCC, many posters suggested she couldn't so much as finish in the money. Others thought she couldn't finish top 100.

THAT is what I argued against.

In FACT, she finished T-19 including two decisive wins over WPA top 50 males.

Obviously, I was correct and that seems to trouble you immensely.

Oh well.

As I stated to another poster, you are quite improperly equating gambling as THE method of determining skill levels in sports. Of course, that is incorrect.

I realize that the gambling culture plays a major role in the lives of many but not NEARLY all top pool players. And many feel that demeans the sport and is a sad state of affairs.

Thorsten, Tony Robles and others don't gamble AT ALL and if they were forced to, they might not be very good at it because GAMBLING is a different process than playing tournament sports.

Conversely, there are those who I perceive as GREAT gamblers, Alex, for example, who has won RELATIVELY few major titles in his career.

But in answer to your question...sort of...since gambling matches are an unrealistic test of the skills of pros who gamble very rarely...I can cite WINS...without any spot...that Allison achieved in her very last competition against male pros.

She beat both Hopkins and Williams...both Top 50 players...very decisively just a couple of months ago at the DCC.

Of course, you are free to dismiss those wins as lucky...or too short races...or sun spots...or whatever.

But as you know...MANY here, knowing the length of the races, stated passionately that she couldn't finish in the money, let alone the top 100...LET ALONE tied for 19th which she did.

I am NOT suggesting...AND NEVER HAVE SUGGESTED...that Alli or any other woman is better than the top male pros. I know she is not and SHE knows she is not. What I HAVE argued is those who dismiss her skills as being so inferior that she would CERTAINLY be "robbed" at the DCC or anywhere else in compitition with top male pros are either hopelessly biased or badly under-estimate her skill level.

Now let me ask you a question. Do you give me ANY credit at all...but MUCH more importantly, do you give Allison any credit at all for finishing T-19 and the DCC and defeating two champion players 7-1 on normally tight pockets in a winner breaks format?

Regards,
Jim

Ah...just noticed your last minute edit..apparantly trying to soften the blow for making additional ad hominem attacks. Possibly that will work.

But I would note that while you didn't put me on ignore when you wished and I wished you would have, I don't think you were forced at gun point to INITIATE your false and repetitively insulting posts to me.

Jasmin Ouschan is not gambling, but I would love to see her in this matchup... Or they could have played straightpool ;)

Jasmin just won a spot in the World 8-ball Championship, for men, in a qualifier with 74 maleplayers + Jasmin. Top male pros such as Darren Appleton, Vilmos Foldes, Thomas Engert, David Alcaide, Fabio Petroni, Serge Das, Vincent Faquet, Stephan Cohen, Radoslaw Babica, Markus Juva and Michael Schmidt all tried their luck in this 8-ball tournament race to 8, but neither of them made it through the qualifier, but a "little blond girl" made it... Guess she just got lucky... girls don't know how to play, we all know that!

OK...another question. Is it your view that gambling on pool is the most valid means of differentiating skill levels of pool players?

We both know that this match will never happen. 1. I don't have the money to back her. 2. she does not gamble.

Still, I would love to see Mr. Pierce try to win a spot in the World 8-ball Championship in the same 75 man field as Jasmin did. Or he could try to finish 5th in the World 14-1 Championship, like Jasmin did 2 years ago... Let's see if he can do that ;)

The thread is about GAMBLING not tournament play or anything else. A male giving ANY woman the 7 for up to $50,000. Gambling. Johnnyt

Excuse me but the question was to watchez and HE...IN FACT...brought up the subject of TOURNAMENT vs. gambling matches.

watchez #34

1) Tournaments & gambling are two different things. Jasmine is a nice player but if she wants to lineup and gamble with those players she beat IN TOURNAMENTS, she might quit pool.

I merely asked him which type of event he thinks best defines the skill level of pool players. Do you have a problem with me asking watchez a question on a topic HE brought up? And others brought up non-gambling issues in this thread as well...rhncue for example.
