If anyone has noticed, I haven't been around the forums very much lately. I just got my orders to Baghdad and will be leaving soon. I will do my best to log on when I can, but I don't expect too much computer time. I am scheduled to get back around the end of May and will do my best to keep anyone that cares updated. I should be around for the next week or so if anyone has any questions. Maybe if I get a chance I will match up with Russ:D I hope to join you all again when I return.

easy-e don't expect me to go on the road with you to baghdad. Sucks that we didn't get to hit any tournaments since I've moved up here... my stupid work schedule doesn't allow many opportunities to go to any weekend events.

For those that don't know... easy-e's job in the Air Force is EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal), one of the most dangerous jobs in the world and he is going to the most dangerous place in the world. I've got much respect for what he does and he is one of the coolest guys you could meet.

I like your side if you happen to run into Russ. If you run out of all that tax free/HDP money let me know and I'll back you.:D

If you need anything sent to you from back here let me know. I have some pool dvd's I could send you to pass time.

Eric...Keep your head down, and stay safe. Russ spends all of his time at the Green Zone compound, so you may find him there. If you see him, give him my best regards.

This should probably be in the NPR section, but I thought it deserved to be here. A friend sent it to me, and it dramatically demonstrates what it means to be an American!

My brother's only child is in the Army and is getting ready to go to his first tour of duty in Iraq within weeks, I think. They have not informed him where he will be going yet. He has been trained as a gunner on a big tank that weighs 32 tons, Abram [ph] I think it is called. He's in the 3rd something or another in the Army, stationed at Fort Hood.

I salute you and pray you come home safe and sound, and above all, thank you for protecting the peace and building a security for freedom! :)

Keep low, stay safe, and come home. Sorry we didn't get to meet up at The Palace or Sporty's. The time I was there, I didn't know you were there 'til later on. Maybe when ya get back!

ERIC, the best of luck to you while in that turbulent part of the world. I don't have to tell you to keep your eyes wide open and your weapons close at hand. Use them if you need to, without hesitation as your life depends upon it.

Thanks everybody. For anyone that doesn't know, this is my second time over there. Last time I was in Balad, which is about 40 miles from Baghdad and every bit as hostile. I had a great time and plan to again!
 
For the most part, this guy (EOD "Explosive Ordinance Disposal") is going to be going along convoy routes, disarming IED's (the ones our loggies/transporters suspect/find/etc while transporting supplies,etc)....and those f*ckers over there have gotten trickier and trickier with how they set them up. I won't go into details. Needless to say, he will be plenty busy. I know I sound negative, but this is the reality, and our IED guys are extremely well-trained, and you have to be ridiculously intelligent to even make it into the school, so...I know he'll do a good job, and do it with style!
