Class Acts

Guys, this is the epitome of class. Four pleasant posts between two longtime gentleman gamblers and we have a match.

There's quite a few folks on this site that could learn a thing or two from these two old war-dogs.

I met John at the DCC and he was a very nice gentleman.. I was quite impressed with his game too!

Lenny, be sure and re-post a day or two before the match-up. My memory is a short as my...well, remind us again if you would please.

I don't play 1-hole, but isn't 4 ahead a pretty short race for 3k unless they will be playing more than 1 set? Johnnyt

It sounds like a short race but if they rotate the break it might not every end.....

That's a good idea. When June 7 gets here i'll need some help to remember to watch the match......

I don't play either, but after seeing how slow these games can go, it might take awhile.

They probably will be playing more than 1 set. I would say it's the equivalent as 8 ahead in 9 ball. It can go fast or it can take forever based on how even the match goes.

John H. is a Hard Times (Sacramento) regular and we are all anxious to
see this Match.
He lives in El Dorado, CA (Gold Rush Country).

Best of Luck, (as if you need it) John ... Seeya in Sactown upon your return.

I will make sure to send a reminder to all of you on here and it should be a fun match with these guys. Mr. Madden, I have heard good things about you and Dick showed me the cue you made him, hope you might make it in person but if not the stream is the next best thing. ;)

I've seen 4 ahead sets that have lasted no more than an hour or two and others that the players decided to just quit even up after a dozen hours or more.

Even in situations where the players are evenly matched, sometimes, one player will be breaking exceptionally well and the other not and with two breaks each, the 4 ahead set is OVER.

I think I know both players' speed at one pocket and this should prove to be an exciting match.

Now that I am subscribed to this thread, I will be notified when the match gets a little closer.

Good luck to both gentlemen!
