Grady Vs. Henderson ~ 4 Ahead One Pocket for $3,000 a Man

JoeyA,

If you take a quick look at the Original Post, the Grady vrs. John H is scheduled for MONDAY June 7th.

The AZ State One Pocket Championship is being played Saturday and Sunday at Kolby's again this year. Lots of GREAT action and fun for all the1PKT players in and around AZ.

Wish I didn't have to work...

I have to assume that is Saturday morning?????????

Just to update, John Henderson, who is, I believe, from Sacramento, posts here as jrhendy! Good luck to both players...it should be a good match!

Hi Scott,

While visiting my Grandkids in March, I stopped by Hardtimes in Sacramento. John was playing another local some "cheap" one pocket. Wasn't impressed at first with his game. After about an hour, I noticed how he kept "innocently" trapping his opponent. Missed a few makeable shots. Other than that, he played very well indeed! Hope I play that well when I reach his age. Tom In Cincy wised me up to John's game. Tom had just finished directing a 9 Ball Tournament. He was nice enough to spend a few minutes with me. Even allowed me to play a few racks with his beautiful new cue.

I wonder what the outcome of this match would have been in 2007.

Probably the same. Go back to 1997 and Grady would be giving John weight, and probably still winning. Means little now. We live in the present! And I can't run four balls in One Pocket anymore. :)

I have distant memories of seven and out, and eight and out. But they are only memories now. For some reason though, my Bank game has yet to desert me. I'm sure that will be the next to go. :p

I don't know about that Jay. I was playing against Grady often in 2007 and he was playing at least 3 balls better then he did yesterday against John. He missed balls and outs yesterday that I have never seen before.

I sure would love to see Grady take off a big score soon! I'm proud to say he is my friend.
