Grady wins and then scores!
Mosconi's stroke occurred when he was in his early forties, and the post-stroke world 14.1 championship he won was in 1957 at age 44. In 1966, aged 53, he retired from competition, no longer sufficiently competitive at the highest level. Yes, Jasmin would have beaten the 60-year old Willie Mosconi, though she'd have had been an underdog against both the 60-year old Joe Balsis and the 60-year old Irving Crane. Still, these three are on the short list of the greatest players of all time, long-time Hall of Famers, and even Grady wouldn't count himself in their company.
I believe you will find the Board's opinion is that your effort is in poor taste.
Thread Fail.
I value your opinion although I find it somewhat absurd that seeking an opinion on who would come out on top between two stellar players is in poor taste. If I asked if the board felt one or the other was an a$$hole that would be in poor taste, asking if one could beat the other in their sport is not.
New Poll topic: Who thinks PAMike's poll was in poor taste? I agree with Black-Balled, so the vote is:
Good taste - 0
Poor taste - 2
Leave Jasmin out of this. Grady has his own agenda right now. The post may have not been in poor taste about a month ago. However, given the controversy regarding Grady and the invitational 14.1 event, your poll is in poor taste. The game will never happen. Grady wants to gamble, Jasmin doesn't. END OF STORY. LET'S JUST LET THE GRADY TOPICS REGARDING CW DIE.
Grady 10 years ago would have clean Jasmin clock. Grady at one time was a very serious money player. Years can slow us down.
I was assuming straight pool, and I still believe she would win fairly easy. He has no chance in 8 ball, I watched a lot of his matches in the IPT, he never advanced out of the round robin stages. Allison beat him so bad I was embarassed for him. Jasmin would be the one STEALING.
But as we all know, she does not gamble. So until they match up in a tournament we will never know.
Allison and Grady did a tour of challenge matches several years ago. I think they played 9 ball and Grady had the advantage.
Grady is a well seasoned Complete pool player. He can play all games properly. I don't know Grady's physical state, but If he can make still make a bridge, she would get decimated. Stroke Vs knowledge? Don't you have to have knowledge of what a stroke is? How can she be at Grady's level is she dosen't play one-pocket? Well he might lose if they play on buckets.
One-pocket is almost only played in America, and most of the top oversea pro's only play one-pocket 3 days a year, at DCC...
He probably would, Jasmin was 12:smile:
