Who are some players that play well with both the left and right hand?

The other day, I was watching a match between a friend and Winter Haven Josh. I don't know if they were gambling or not. Josh was playing with his left hand, and was running out like crazy.

I don't think anyone could top Reed Pierce in caliber for being able to play with both hands. He won the US Open playing right handed & could probably win a few regional tournaments playing left. Playing one handed, the best I have seen would have to be Jose Parica or Ronnie Allen.

You have got to be kidding? She can't run 3 balls left handed on a Cruze out. I'd bet the ranch on it.
Try Boston Shorty for openers. Titanic Thompson, Andrew St Jean.

Dandy Reply: The best one handed players of all time were Omaha Fat, Lou Butera, Stanley Stonik. The best one handed entertainers you can run into at shows today are Mike Massey, George Breedlove and Fast Larry. All 3 will be doing just that at the upcoming BCA show in Vegas this April. They take on all challengers and play them one handed. Lou Butera is there also but may not be showing. Last year he just walked the show. They all 3 play at the same speed. They can break and run out, one handed. Really great players must develop this talent because they run out of game and it becomes the ultimate spot and hustle. These boys can almost play as good one handed as they can 2 handed.

I am ambidexterous I can hit a baseball or a golf ball a ton left handed and do everything else right handed...But I can't hit the broad side of a barn shooting pool lefty..Go figure

Ambidextrous

I have already knocked this guys action one time B4 on this forum about a year ago  . I am sorry for knocking his action, I just had a "brainfart"! I will say that he post on here often and you can't really see much difference in his game either handed but the break.

more than that ...

When I was younger I taught myself to shoot left handed, and to shoot right or left handed 1 handed, and to shoot with my feet (using left foot as a bridge).

There were many times I won more money shooting with my left foot as a bridge than I could shooting normally.

Here in Wichita, we have a good player that shoots real well with his left hand,
Mark 'Sharpshooter' Rogers.

Ronnie O'Sullivan without a doubt. Also, when Efren uses his opposite hand (left), he seems to be quite comfortable with it. Actually, I think many philipinos are very consistent with the opposite hand.

I've heard that he had a 147 with his wrong hand. Didn't he also play a whole match lefty? (And his opponent was more than a little irritated.) On the web I see that in a speed event for charity he cleared the table for 114 points left handed.

I've heard that Sigel originally learned right but changed to left. I saw him play McCready opposite handed (both played opposite) after hours at a tournament, and they both played better than in the tournament.

Cisero Murphy had the same remarkable stroke left or right, and he would change hands to shoot spot shots.

Cecil Tugwell plays both-handed.

Some players who are capable of shooting right- and left-handed will opt to make shots using their hands (right or left) as opposed to the bridge, stating that it is easier to reach with their hands.

Personally, I still cringe when I see players opting to use the opposite hand as opposed to using the rake. I always remembered the Willie Mosconi-ism, "When in doubt, use the mechanical bridge," or words to that effect.

I do think it is an advantage to a player who is capable of shooting opposite-handed and gives them a slight edge, if they are proficient at it. JMO, FWIW!

A few years ago I saw Ronnie beat Peter Ebdon playing left handed through the whole match. I think he switched to right hand only when he was able to reach better with his right. He beat Ebdon handily. Also, in snooker World Champs Ronnie has beaten players with his lefty. Though, that's a thing of his past, when he was heavily affected by drugs, alcohol and misbehaviour. The lefty thing was just a boost to motivation, when Ronnie wasn't motivated enough and felt the game too easy.

Don't know about the 147, he might do it or might have done it, but I haven't heard anyone confirming that...

Ahaha there is one poor chap who won't be chiming back in here. But you are very pretty debra.

On to the task at hand.

Ronnie O'Sullivan i heard shot the first 3 rounds in the world snooker championship's lefty and won handily over the oppentents. Just my .02

ps JAM whats FIWI ?

Efren Reyes and Keith McReady are reall sporty opposite handed!!!
I agree.
CJ Wiley shoots mean with his opposite hand as well.
Saw Efren ran a last-pocket 8-ball game opposite handed or jacked-up right handed spot at HT one night. It made me sick. :p
Nick Varner is pretty sporty with his left hand too.
