I don't think anyone could top Reed Pierce in caliber for being able to play with both hands. He won the US Open playing right handed & could probably win a few regional tournaments playing left. Playing one handed, the best I have seen would have to be Jose Parica or Ronnie Allen.

The best one handed entertainers you can run into at shows today are Mike Massey, George Breedlove and Fast Larry. All 3 will be doing just that at the upcoming BCA show in Vegas this April. They take on all challengers and play them one handed. Lou Butera is there also but may not be showing. Last year he just walked the show. They all 3 play at the same speed. They can break and run out, one handed. Really great players must develop this talent because they run out of game and it becomes the ultimate spot and hustle. These boys can almost play as good one handed as they can 2 handed.

I have already knocked this guys action one time B4 on this forum about a year ago
. I am sorry for knocking his action, I just had a "brainfart"! I will say that he post on here often and you can't really see much difference in his game either handed but the break.

When I was younger I taught myself to shoot left handed, and to shoot right or left handed 1 handed, and to shoot with my feet (using left foot as a bridge).
There were many times I won more money shooting with my left foot as a bridge than I could shooting normally.
Here in Wichita, we have a good player that shoots real well with his left hand,
Mark 'Sharpshooter' Rogers.

I've heard that he had a 147 with his wrong hand. Didn't he also play a whole match lefty? (And his opponent was more than a little irritated.) On the web I see that in a speed event for charity he cleared the table for 114 points left handed.mjantti said:

Personally, I still cringe when I see players opting to use the opposite hand as opposed to using the rake. I always remembered the Willie Mosconi-ism, "When in doubt, use the mechanical bridge," or words to that effect.
I do think it is an advantage to a player who is capable of shooting opposite-handed and gives them a slight edge, if they are proficient at it. JMO, FWIW!

Nick Varner is pretty sporty with his left hand too.
