Great guy in cue making

I recently expressed my desire to try a long cue like SVB and Earl etc
John called me and made me one in a short time
it arrived today and I can already hit shots that I usually miss better

it feels kinda heavy,and a bit awkward but that has to be expected

the amazing thing is John made the cue and sent it to me at no charge
just to let me experiment

I got the Long Cue,really a beautiful 58 inch cue with matching extension that screws right into the butt

it was john's first long one too

The real point is John is a great guy,who makes quality cues
and deserves some business

The basic cue is really a quality cue,he didn't waste time trying to make it fancy as we both were experimenting

But I can tell you for sure,he makes nice cues

JC here on az,call him and buy a cue
not necessarily a long cue

I am very impressed with John and his work

Now all we need is someone to ask for pictures,
I know you guys

Seriously, if we get you a tablet that does azb easy, with pictures, will you start adding pics?

I'm in for $20 on the tablet. However if I recall Deans wife took up photography a while back.
 
Thank you for the kind words Dean. I enjoyed building this and learned from it.

It has a myrtlewood handle and rosewood forearm and butt sleeve. Bloodwood for the joints, rings, cap and extension. Thinking I should have made the extension out of myrtle to save an ounce or so but it's never too late. :smile:

Dean said it was a little heavy in the butt so I built a new extension out of the same myrtle I used in the handle that's 2 and a half ounces lighter and 2 inches shorter.

Will wait to get a report back from him next week.
