I have to disagree here. Mark Griffin does know the pool business and he knows he should NOT to be investing "major dollars" in a pool room in this era. Mark Griffin has a lifelong passion and appreciation for the sport of billiards. It is that love for the sport and it's culture that compelled him to open the room.....and that love will also keep the doors open.....whether it makes money or not.

I have never seen a nicer room

Yep, the gaming machines is what will make this business go. Its very hard to survive on just pool and food these days. But those machines bring in a incredible amount of money. We have two local rooms here with just 4 machines each. Without those they would have closed long ago... FYI With decent play, 4 machines on a 50/50 split bring in approx 4-5k a month for the owner.

U.S.Open One-Pocket is in December, 18th-21st iirc.
 
And USB cables all over the place so you can charge your phone....What more could you ask of a pool room?:thumbup:

Ive heard great things about this room.
Great food and drink. I hear they offer a sweet deal on endless soda for the non alcohol beverage drinkers as well.

I've known Mark for many years and I know Griff's will be a class act because it's founder is a class act. PLanning a trip a few months from now, wish it was tommorow🎱🎉🎲
 
Thanks to everyone on the nice comments. Griff's is a nice room. And it will stay that way. Non smoking - good food and really fancy (and clean) bathrooms.

I saw this thread a couple days ago but did not have time to respond. Its too bad people like GoldenFlash have to have such a bad attitude.It really detracts from getting involved in discussions on AZBilliards.

I think there is a great future in upscale rooms. Vegas has a big population, and only 4 rooms or so. I think there is enough for everyone to do fine. But the bar has been raised a little bit.

There are a lot of subtle things throughout the room. A lot of thought went into the design.

This year, we will be hosting the US Open 10-ball, US Open 8-Ball, and the US Open One Pocket. Plus various monthly events.

Jay spoke a little too fast on the billiard table. It has been ordered, but is 2 months away. This will be a no nonsense recreational room, with a ton of acton:thumbup: I hope everyone has a chance to come by and see us.....

BTW-there is a 'Griffs app' Just go to your app store and put in Griffs, or Griffs las vegas. It is a pretty cool app and will keep you posted on all the upcoming events.

i know your room is nice everyday,but I only have one trip and I want to see you,the pool room,Laurie Franklin and the one pocket

it is hard to believe that there will be a nicer pool room in the nation

Mark had a great room in Alaska,but this room will probably be even better
