I've been waiting for this cue to arrive for almost a week, and it finally arrived today. Was so busy in the day that i had to watch the package sit in the corner of my office for 6hrs before i can unwrap the package like a kid to check the content.

Funny thing is Tony was on skype waiting for me to unpack the package to check my reaction, somehow i think he was as excited as i was..sorry Tony...wish i could've skyped with ya while i unwrapped..

I've seen the pictures that Tony posted but boy this cue needs to be seen in person! Everything is spot on! Finishing is top notch and everything about the cue screams primo.

Enough talking, now for the showing...

To be continued with more pics in next post due to 10pcs limit...

Now for the harsh truth, How does it play?
Bloody awesome! This beauty moves balls with fairly low deflection.
It's not stiff, it's just a very firm shooter but with good feedback.
I shoot with a Sugartree and i didn't need to adjust to play with this cue at all.

I love this cue and this will NOT be my only Guerra.

Thanks so much Tony, i now know how tough it was for you not to keep this cue for yourself...and save me a priority spot for your recut cue buddy...

P.S You gotta find a place to sign your name on the cue...

Damn Jive that's lovely!! What a combination of woods, and the figuring and depth in the handle is just crazy(1st picture 2nd post) :grin-square:.
Nice work Tony...

Jive,

You have a great and beautiful cue there made by a man that cares deeply about his work as well as his ethics as a businessman.

It is a very beautiful.

BTW, WOW those pics are the bomb man. Did you take them?

Rick

Thanks for the kind words guys, this cue is indeed amazing. Gorgeous.

Rick, yup I took them pictures just now. Just bought a new camera still playing with it..still not entirely pleased with them pictures..hopefully I'll be able to take nicer pics soon.

Taozhong, it's worth the wait! You're from Singapore right? HQ should've received his segmented black ash burl by now...that's another beauty too.

Outstanding cue. Very, very impressive.

I'll take it.

Rat <---is pretending this is the Wanted/FS section

Congratulations to Jive for obtaining such a beautiful cue. Also to Tony for continuing to produce elegant cues with some of the sickest woods I have seen. Each new cue he posts in this section seems better than the ones before. Hard to pick a favorite.

Glad to hear that Tony's cues play as good as they look. Other feedback on AZB is consistent with Jive's opinion. As I mentioned in a different discussion, if I were expanding my collection, I would be on Tony's list.

Jive,

I am so happy that your cue got there safe and sound.
I always freak out a little bit whenever I send a cue out of the country. USPS Express is the way to go no doubt.
Thanks for posting close ups pics of the shafts and ferrules.
I should be posting a bunch of new cues I am taking to the Southern Challenge as well Taozhong's new player by the weekend.
Glad you chalked the cue already

Another beautiful cue. Tony is putting out some amazing pieces of art. I can't wait to see some points. My dream would be a 6 pointer.

Yup USPS Express is the way to do for sure when you're thinking about shipping international.
I gotta master how to take nicer pictures...your finishing doesn't help my poor photography though...makes me wanna take a sandpaper to the cue just so i can take some pictures without dam reflections

Yup both shafts had a workout last night, an hour each. Different tip, different kind of wood, different shaft diameter...so i'm trying to work out which one i like better...and i can't decide still..so round 2 later this evening!

I am curious about the shafts. They look so different from each other. One of them resembles the wood in a Scruggs shaft I have (the darker of the two).

Can you elaborate on the shaft woods?

Here's what i got from Tony.

The lighter coloured shaft is old growth maple @ 12.8mm with Kamui Original M Tip
The darker coloured shaft is bowling alley wood @ 13.1mm with Kamui Black Soft Tip

They both play firm, however the bowling alley shaft is slightly stiffer but not dead. It also hits with a higher pitch ping despite having a softer tip on.
