Gus on eBay

Funny the forearm looks clean and the butt looks like a dog got ahold of it! Great looking veneers!

that looks like the before pic.. if you look at the first pic where the wrap is changed.. it looks the butt sleeve is perfect.. looks like he keeps his 13k gus in the 30$ case.. i had one of those cases.. they are pretty cheap..

Gus Szam!

I agree with Kevin, why didn't Barry do the refinish even though Proficient does excellent work?
The Butt Sleeve has to be a before pic for sure- ouch!
I am sure it plays great.

Yeah somehow the best this guy could do after spending money with Scott to make it pretty was to post his before pic? And he had Scott rewrap it? And I assume the 2nd shafts (not offered) was made by Scott too.

So you gotta buy the cue, send it to Barry for a complete refinish and rewrap with his dad's Penn? I mean Scott does fine work, but this is a Gus and Barry is around so there's only one right way to go.

I'm sure Barry would be quick and cheap. LOL

I'd love to see Barry's letter on this one, but at the price the seller is asking, I'd just be jerking him as I'm no buyer.

i bet he had it refinished first before barry ever seen it.. maybe he never even sent it to him in person..

Last I heard Barry was not doing letters of authenticity Gus cues.. Maybe he is now..

$13K for a Gus refinished by someone else, with one shaft that is not full? Seems a little high to me, but I am not a buyer for 5 digit cues so maybe I'm wrong.

Maybe we could go on the Barry LOA waiting list LOL.

You know, I've done only a little biz with The Barry and he made me smile from ear to ear. Lots of makers have a style or goal, but I have such respect for Barry and his methods. He has done his dad proud, and what son doesn't want to do that?

And what dad could ask for more?:thumbup:

Seems way high for the cue IMHO. Frankenstroke had a much nicer one on here for 9500 that was all original, 2 shafts and almost unplayed condition. Also, am I the only one that doesnt think this cue is purpleheart? In the description it says it is purpleheart. If it is, it is the blackest PH I have ever seen. I would say that in its current condition and its lack of 2 shafts, this cue isnt gonna sell for 9k. Much less 13k. Could be wrong, but that is what I think.

I couldn't agree more KB...The "Barry" is definetly a Gem...A Hall of Fame "Ball-Breaker", but a Gem nonetheless!
