A good friend of mine bought this cue from the famous Japanese collector Hideo around 6 years ago. He then sent the cue to Barry for refinishing & new shafts. I was able to obtain it from him last year.
Barbell Gus Szamboti cue. Gabon Ebony points into birdeye maple forearm. Butt weighs 16.3 oz. The first Shaft weighs 4.3oz with 13mm+ tip size. (Barry's new shaft) The secound shaft weighs 4.3oz with 13mm+ tip size. (Barry's new shaft) It also comes with two original Gus shafts. They are less than 13mm. It's standard 58 inches with no nicks or blemishes or whatsoever. Irish linen wrap. Refinished by Barry Szamboti. This is the nicest Gus you could find at this price range. Price: $13,500. I will consider a partial trade plus cash but only for South West, Ginacue, Szambotis, Searing, or other big names. The market is low now but I am not desperate yet so no low ball offers please.
