Gus Szamboti cue on ebay

Actually I was going to place the bid but after I saw this thread I gave up.

Had I seen the cue on ebay with a buy it now for $6750, I would have sold my left nut to buy it. I remember buying a Ebony Titlist in very good condition for $200 on Ebay with a buy it now button. I did not hesitate for 1 minute...nor was I dumb enough to try to get the price down! I ended up selling the cue for $750 the next day after I received it! ;)

Buy it now??

The buy it now disappears as soon as a bid is placed on the item so it probably wasn't there for anyone to "pull the trigger" for more than a few minutes..

So that means when you people go to garage (tag) sales and the person has a highly collectible XXXXXXXXXXXX that you know is woth 10g.. and he has 100 on it you guys all do the right thing and tell him?!?!?!?
I'll take that bet at 10:1 on everyone in this thread, maybe more.

Especially when there are like 20 threads on Pawn shops and how people went in there and paid the asking price knowing they stole it. So that's ok and getting a deal in another fashion is criminal?

Stop it before a crate with a hippo falls on your head...

No...i buy it for $100 and run with it before someone tells him how much it's worth! LOL

NO body bid

The buy now was there when he tripled the prices! No Returns No Letter No Bids. I still say it is a COPY. I bought my Ebony Gus last August from Bill at Cornerstone, Refinished by Barry with 2 new shafts for $6500 It is REAL! Ron

So what if you're there and your about to peel off that c-note and someone that has no desire to buy the piece tells the guy... wait.. that is worth some serious money you should get it authenticated... thus, queering the deal..

Jesus would be p issed too.
Vengeance is mine, sayeth the Lord.

I wasn't following all that close, but if I were in the market, I certainly wouldn't have pulled the trigger for any amount of money without
a LOA.

Crap happens all the time on EBay. I was going to bid on a Whitten case for $40. All of a sudden the auction was pulled and relisted.
I'm pretty sure Mr. Coco had his hand in on that one.

I don't know who the rat is but I have called whomever it is out everytime one of these threads start and he never steps up. That doesn't surprise me.
