I am planning on going down to Hard Times to watch the qualifier, does anyone know if there will be an entry fee for spectators?

Ahh but what about that abmiance? You can't buy that kind of atmosphere anywhere! ( although you can pay carpet-cleaning people a lot of money to remove it ;-) )

I'm in! I'm going to have to increase my "hour here and there" practice regimen, I think. ;)

Very doubtful, but can't say for sure. Call Hard Times at (562)867-7733.

The Bleachers

Well the bleachers and the carpet have been cleaned just for you. And they are not going to be charging to get in as far as I know.

Try not to wear shorts if you sit there.
Yo azz would be itching.

There's nothing wrong with them dirty a$$ bleachers. I've had nice naps
there in the 90's...

All I want to know is - Who is going to be the play by play reporter for us?

I know the IPT has a reporter but it would be nice to hear about match ups and anything else...

It sounds like this one could be the biggest qualify of them all. If there are any big games I'll try to update you all.

This is one event that I am really looking forward to reading about, and I can't wait to find out who signed up.

The IPT website has posted that the "Tournament Field is Full," February 17-19, 2006: https://www.internationalpooltour.com/ipt_content/qualifying_form/

Wow! That is pretty impressive that the Field is full. I wonder what the cutoff point was, my guess is 64 which is quite amazing and if it is more than that then it is really wild. I would have never guessed a few months ago that the numbers would be as high as they have been at $2000 a pop.

As posted no admission. Friday 9:30 AM players meeting (full field) games start at 10:30--projected. 1st come 1st served. Watched Dennis Orcullo practice the other evening and he is very impressive. After playing rotation for about an hr he broke and ran 3 racks of 8 Ball. He is very impressive! Everything is effortless. Where in the Phillipines are these guys cloned? All tables have been recovered in the IPT cloth. Smitty was really busy. Pockets are 4 1/4". Bleachers have been cleaned and all metal repainted. By the way Orcullo's practice session was on table 1 that hadn't been reclothed yet and the pockets are 4 1/8", tightest in the room.

Oh, now I find out they were the tightest in the room, where I was led like a lamb to the slaughter, lol. Of course, I only played one set there, running back and forth for matches in the tournament, but it was very hard for me to make a ball there. :o

Well the other 2 qualifiers so far announced field full also but there was way less than 64. I just think the date for signing up passes and then they call it full.
