The Harriman thread was taken off approximately 2 minutes ago. I was reading the thread, went to the next page & it's gone.

I hope Danny caught some of the responses and took note of the support he was shown.

Yes, you're right and I wasn't thinking. The point I wanted to make was I hope that somebody had Danny looking at all the support he was shown. I can only imagine how it would feel to have a 7 page thread about something that happened 12+ years ago. Hopefully, he'll feel a little better about himself and how the majority of members here view him.

As for starting this thread about a deleted thread, again, in hindsight, I should have just let it go.

I'd like an explanation as to why the guy got banned. He put factual information and said he would give an appology to Danny if he would say what happened. Did he break a forum rule or what?

If you were the moderator of this form ,this type of behavior would of been perfectly fine with you,right? I understand your concern about not violating forum rules,but sometimes we need to set an example to people that it's not ok to speak in an inappropriate way when your talking about a persons character,especially a world champion in good standing . What was said was demeaning and obviously unnecessary and he should be reprimanded in some way. The moderator chose to deal with it in his own way,that's his choice. I'm not mad at him. Maybe he will be reinstated at a later time,but what he said was clearly wrong.

I agree that he shouldn't have put it on the board as I've said about 5 times now. What I do have a problem with is the fact that him putting factual public knowledge about Danny is no different than someone posting Fatboy's business and financial information or public information about Kevin Trudeau for that matter. I would personally never post that about someone, but to ban him after he said he would appologize is over the top IMO.

My last word

I often hear people speak about why pool has never made it in the main stream,and describe reasons why.Well this is yet another reason why pool has been kept down. Whenever the character of our main players ( champions) are degraded,it certainly doesn't help our game. Particularly when the player that was dishonored is a player that is a good represenative to the sport he plays. His integrity as a person was unjustifiably attacked, and if AZBilliards would of allowed that to happen without some intervention then the integrity of AZBilliards would of been in question.

I personally would like to thank the administrators on their decision on not only pulling the thread but also handling it, in my opinion in an appropriate way.
