Since you have the most REP on this board, will it prove I'm not a nut hugger if I flip you the bird?

The guy didnt actually do anything to anyone directly in that thread....
but got hit with the ban stick......
The mods on this forum are real streaky... you dont here form them for months then the dropp the ban bomb 3 times in a week...and one of them took about 30 members asking for it and 15 threads to get it done...and he WAS the ONE that deserved it!!!
So you think he thought the facts were ascertainable through a public forum, that's interesting.Seems like a naive way of going about it,would't you think? Also just because a person points out facts that are or may be true,it doesn't make him right to make it public. Example, If he was posting in a mob chat room would he say that Tony Soprano was seeing a woman shrink? If he did I don't think Tony would of PM him.
This forum isn't the first time he's been voted a "Virtual Pest." It's not hard to look up if someone cares to.Johnson said:bpg was annoying from his first posts around the time of the wpc, i think i remembered him because of how overly annoying he was in his posts and that was when he had just joined the forum, the guy only got progressively worse over time, his main argument for people who disagreed with him was asking them whether or not they knew how to read because he had spelled things out for them, this got old after the 50th freakin time
As far as the Danny thread being pulled, it's now located where crap like that belongs, and rightly so.Terry Ardeno said:The Harriman thread was taken off approximately 2 minutes ago. I was reading the thread, went to the next page & it's gone.
I hope Danny caught some of the responses and took note of the support he was shown.

So many pros, legends, and industry people get run off of this site because of threads like that. Why would anyone want to come here to participate and share information, when they get lambasted and their past brought up?
I have only been a member here for a few years, but I can recall numerous individuals that fit the categories of pro, legend, or industry person, that have stopped posting because other posters were acting very childish in their posts.
I just wonder how much insight, knowledge, and camaraderie that has been lost because the pros, legends, or industry people don't care to post anymore out of fear of this stuff happening to them.
Most of us here are adults and it's too bad we can't always act like it.

However, I think people should have a bit thicker skin and realize that this is an internet forum and realize that for every 100 good, contributing posters there is going to be 1 troll or person with another agenda. The pros also have to realize that this forum is the hub of internet buzz surrounding pool. Its much like the media is for all of the major sports and the scrutiny that major athletes face every day. How in the world are pool professionals going to take the heat that other athletes face if the sport does evolve if they can't even take the heat at AZ Billiards?
First I think you present a weak case when you say ,if pool professionals can't take the heat on AZB how can they take the heat the media is going to give them if the sport evolves into a major sport. I follow all sports closely and I dont recall ever the media defaming any athlete for no apparent reason. And if they ever did they probably would be fired. From reading your post on this matter it seems like to me that you condone this type of behavior, but what really puzzles me is your an extremely intellegent person and to take this type of a stance is a contradiction to my perception of you. Bottom line,he attacked a professional players character for no good reason ,whether it was intentional or not is not the issue,in either case it was equally as damaging to Danny.corvette1340 said:I agree with part of this, in that I think its wrong for people to intentionally post harsh content about someone for the sake of just being malicious. Jay,in my opinion you are a top player on AZB. You have a plethora of savviness on every common sense issue ,at least the ones that I have read. It's people like you that make people like me feel comfortable posting. I want to thank you for your opinion ,you could of been a judge if you wanted to. Judge Jay,sorta like Judge Judy.jay helfert said:The background of KT especially was important because of the guarantees he was making. We needed to know who was making these illustrious claims. And we sure found out, didn't we.
As far as Fatboy is concerned, that's a closer call. He made no promises of any kind to anybody. He wanted to have an impact on the pool scene in general, and he did. Mission accomplished!
Danny' situation is entirely different than the other two. He is a pool player, plain and simple. His personal life has little relevance to his pool accomplishments. Dredging up something from his distant past served no useful purpose as far as I could see. Other than pure sensationalism.
Yes, Handsumm used to be Belmicah. Why the change, you'll have to ask him.

I would like to propose that we give Jay a new nickname. Hows this sound, Jay "The Judge" Helfertwincardona said:Jay,in my opinion you are a top player on AZB. I apologize if i'm wrong, but it seemed to me you were defending him when you said in post #9 the bottom line is that it was factual information and he was stating his opinion just like everyone else. I interpreted that statement as you condoning what he posted. And to condone something is when it's disregarded or overlooked. And I don't think that when a person apologizes it lessens the infraction,if it does than all we have to do is commit a crime and apologize and everything will be alright. There are a lot of people incarcerated that apologized.corvette1340 said:I do not condone this type of behavior in any way and for you to suggest that is bullshit. All I said is that the guy posted facts, not rumors, not gossip and he obviously posted it in haste without thinking to answer the question that someone posed as to why the thread was titled "Harriman Haters". I guess it was his response as to how anyone could hate Harriman, whom I have the utmost respect for. I simply disagreed with him being banned when he said he would appologize to Danny for a post that he made without thinking before he pushed the submit button. I don't know what happened behind the scenes with him and the moderators and I do not care. I have given the pros here nothing but respect and I know 90% of them personally and have interacted with them in and outside of pool, but I also speak my mind and respect others opinions even if they are different than mine. I also don't like the fact that anyone could ever suggest that I would condone this or would do it myself. Blackjack even lumped me in with Fast Larry, whom I don't know, but have heard a lot about, and that is BS also. Everyone enjoy the rest of the day. I've said all I need to as to this thread or its content.
