I agree that he shouldn't have put it on the board as I've said about 5 times now. What I do have a problem with is the fact that him putting factual public knowledge about Danny is no different than someone posting Fatboy's business and financial information or public information about Kevin Trudeau for that matter. I would personally never post that about someone, but to ban him after he said he would appologize is over the top IMO.

he probably knows in hindsight he shouldnt have posted it i think which is why i think banning him was harsh. like corvette said, he was only pointing out a couple of facts which were true. personally i just would have deleted the thread and sent him a pm telling him he shouldnt have posted it and it's really not in the spirit of this forum. but hey it's not up to me!

I hope Danny caught some of the responses and took note of the support he was shown.
Since noone wanted to take the time to acknowledge my question I did a little search. (Thanks by the way)Ktown D said:I dogged it......who got banned?

I assume it was BPG24.
Thanks.Rubyron said:It was Handsumm. (sp?)
So you think he thought the facts were ascertainable through a public forum, that's interesting.Seems like a naive way of going about it,would't you think? Also just because a person points out facts that are or may be true,it doesn't make him right to make it public. Example, If he was posting in a mob chat room would he say that Tony Soprano was seeing a woman shrink? If he did I don't think Tony would of PM him.worriedbeef said:i agree. it was wrong him posting what he did because of how much damage it can cause, but i dunno, tbh it seemed more like a brainfart on his part in posting it than any malicious intention of degrading danny's character. i really don't think he meant to do any harm by it - he just wanted to know the facts and didn't want to apologise for that.

Thank you for recognizing the professional player as an asset to AZB. I'm sure you also recognized that Handsumm's post bothered me ,and it did for many reasons other than the obvious one. The professional pool players integrity has been compromised too often on this forum and this to me was another unnecessary attack against a prof.pool player.Once again thank you for the respect you have shown us (TPPP)and your perception on this matter is a breath of fresh air.Cuebacca said:The subject matter was of a highly sensitive nature and could be considered damaging to Danny's character, especially taken out of context of the full truth as it originally was. We still don't know the full truth, but we did find factual info suggesting that the issue most likely wasn't anything to worry about. Also, quite a few people posted that they knew what happened and reassured us that it DEFINITELY wasn't anything to worry about. Unfortunately, the poster continued to dig himself deeper, despite the way things unfolded.
This forum is made available to the public, but it is in fact a privately owned website, and the mods do have a right to ban at will. Whether or not that was the right thing to do in this case, it does make sense for them to act swiftly if they feel like this website is being compromised in some way.
We actually don't even know what happened as far as the ban goes. It could just be a 1 week ban, such as a lock on his account until further discussion takes place between him and the mods. Or he could be gone for good; who knows. If the mods want to tell us, maybe they will, but then again, I'm not holding my breath.
I do feel though that pro pool players should be even more protected by the admins than the rest of us. Certainly it makes sense that they'll be watching out for it more, given limited resources of AZ. Of course I don't want any of our names to get dragged through the mud, but as a pool forum, professional players and other figures in the industry are incredible assets that we are given the privilege to access and interact with.
We want to make sure that they feel welcome here and that their experience will be as positive as possible. In life, perhaps no one person should have more rights than another, but this ain't life; this is AZB! LOL. JMO.![]()

The guy didnt actually do anything to anyone directly in that thread....
but got hit with the ban stick......
Belmicah/Handsumm may have gottne a litte lout of hand while fighting his reason for making his post ... but at the end of the day his post WAS FACTUAL .....
The mods on this forum are real streaky... you dont here form them for months then the dropp the ban bomb 3 times in a week...and one of them took about 30 members asking for it and 15 threads to get it done...and he WAS the ONE that deserved it!!!
jay helfert said:Factual, technically yes. But you can really stretch the facts if you want to. You can take an ounce of truth and turn it into a pound of garbage.
Incendiary, definitely. Callous, for sure. Malicious, without a doubt. Judgmental, that too. Shall I go on. I don't care how you cut it. It didn't belong on here or anywhere else, unless the full story was known to the poster and it was something very serious in nature. Then and only then, should a warning be sounded.
Just like some did when KT came into the picture. Those revelations about his past business dealings and court actions were definitely warranted on here. Fatboy also became fair game on here because of his high profile. The difference between him and KT was that he wasn't making any promises of wealth and salvation for pool players. KT did.

Johnson said:bpg was annoying from his first posts around the time of the wpc, i think i remembered him because of how overly annoying he was in his posts and that was when he had just joined the forum, the guy only got progressively worse over time, his main argument for people who disagreed with him was asking them whether or not they knew how to read because he had spelled things out for them, this got old after the 50th freakin time
the mods on here can be streaky but i fully expected belmicah to get banned today, in the past if u have bad mouthed well known billiards industry members that are on az or dug up past skeletons out of professional players pasts(especially ones that are members here) factual or otherwise, there wasn't really much leeway, both of these guys more than wore out their welcome when they were given plenty of chances to change or make things right and they chose to do neither
smokeandapancak said:Not trying to argue with ya Jay, but I am a little bit confused about why you think it was fair game for KT and Eric to get a bunch of old shit brought up about the personal lives.. but not ok for Hannsumm to post some old shit about Danny's personal life....
Either or......
BTW.... did Hannsumm change his screen name or something ???? I remeber the avatar and the name Belmicah....but what is with the name change ?
