Help sponsor Larry Nevel at the DCC - $100 per share

Ok - I will be at the DCC on Friday the 22nd to hand Larry over the funds. (please read the bold here to answer a question from one of the members)

$100 a share - you can buy more than one share. 20 shares total. If we don't sell this out by Saturday, then it will be a no go. Should be able to tell real soon if there is enough interest.

PAYPAL payment only. I will give everyone my paypal once we get 20 shares sold.

Because if you invested in 2003, you would have always been up money and had a return on investment of over 20% year over year and a 17.7% return in the last two years.

Larry stocks up better than the NYSE and the S & P.
 
Unfortuntaly I am tapped on funds guys. I would love to help larry out but I just got finished getting my diamond put in and still have payments on it. Also the wife doesn't have a steady job yet.

Larry is a cool guy. One of the most powerful stroke in the game.

watchez...whats the breakdown of the 2k that is needed to go? Doesn't Nevel have free entry and hotel since he won the all around in 2003? Is food and travel that expensive?
 
I would like to hear an answer to uwate's question. if satisfactory i'd put in the hundred. we are talking about a pool player you know.

Honestly, I didn't question it. Maybe we should have and put the horse in front of the cart.

I added up the entry fees, with buybacks, to be $640 for all 3 events.

I know the room is $99 a day on a special if you stay all 10 days, so that would be another $1,000.

$30 a day for food = $300

$640 + $1,000 + $300 = $1940

Someone WHO KNOWS would have to comment if Larry is getting free room or not. Besides, this is what Larry requested for his stake and the offer he made. I figure if he gets third in the banks or the one pocket, which he has a good chance to do, we should at least break even? And finally, not to put him on the spot but Mark Griffin got involved and he is one of the underlying sponsors of this overall event so I assume he did the math that this is not too bad of an offer. Plus Mark always likes to step up and help out pool.
 
Since others have brought it up. I am interested as well. If he had said he felt he needed $1,900 for expenses but his hotel and entry was already paid, it would be different. I already posted that it is probably not a bad deal anyway, but I think Larry should have mentioned it if his entry and room are free.

Not sure how much Larry logs in here but I am sure if he does, he would read this.

I have put in an inquiry myself to see if this 'issue' can be clarified.

Either way, I have committed the $100, and as always will stand by my word no matter what info is received on this.
 
Just got off the phone with Greg Sullivan. His words were, "Nevel has a free room and entry for life. He only has to pay his other expenses and the buy backs." With this information, I am withdrawing my offer to sponsor him.
 
Uh Oh if what Jay said is true, HIS WORDS ARE TYPICALLY GOLDEN, then Mr. Nevel might be looking for some action money. If that's the case with the right game I could be down to form a corporation to bet. However if someone won't foot gas money and buy backs they really aren't gonna give a 100% IMO. Champions, yes Larry is a champion, don't usually free roll cause they are usually stealing to just cash.
 
Looks like the horse definitely was in front of the cart on this one.....

Anyone else out.....or in :confused:
