Help with Robin Bell cue

[daniel]

Anyone have info on which cue in the Robin Bell series this 6 point is. Btw the craftsmanship on this cue is excellent & looks like micarta joint & ferrule & maybe buttcap. I believe Dick Helmstetter

was involved in the series.

Adam made.

That's not Micarta.

I don't know the model. I'll check my files later and see if I can find out.

Phenolic joint? Maybe Adams from Helmstetter era.

Yes Adam.

Yes, Helmstetter was another of their brands at the time.

The material is a urethane, I can't remember the exact name. Implex I think.

Used on many cues, especially McDermott and Viking.

Post in thread 'Dodson Cue? 1 out of 6 made. Who is this cuemaker?'

This cue belongs to a friend of mine. He says that it is 1 out of 6 in a series made for Robin Dodson. It was a while ago when he bought it so if anybody can help out it would be appreciated. I noticed there is a cross at the top of the forearm it that helps anybody.

Implex is correct. Similar material to phenolic.

Ivory implex

Ivory implex

Yes, ivory being the color I believe.

There was gray, white, black, green, others.

Joss used a brown implex joint. My OP42c20 showed a brown joint before Stephen built the cue.

Actually, I believe that was most likely a phenolic.

If I'm allowed a small tangent, Robin Bell (later Robin Dodson) was the first woman I ever saw run a five pack in tournament 9ball. She accomplished this at the 1995 Brunswick New York Classic. She was quite a player!
