I'm watching some of the DCC One Pocket matches on YouTube and it got me wondering...what's the highest number of balls you've seen owed during a One Pocket tournament? And did the player owing those balls ever win that game?
I know Nick spotted a guy 50-5 once in a action match lolI’m pretty sure Nick Varner has the record in an even up match.
I can’t remember what the figure was but it was mentioned here years ago..
...anybody know?

Nick Varner once played a one pocket gambling match and gave the guy he was playing a huge handicap.I know very little about One Pocket, but understand the concept of owing balls. Can you explain the "50-5" reference you made? What is the 50 and what is the 5?
Thanks!

Frost vs Schmidt.... at one point Frost had ten pennies on the rail. Score was John +5 to Frost -10...the game is on youtube. Scott finally paid all the balls owed and at one point the score was tied. There were more fouls than this...I think Scott took at least 15 intentional fouls and John had around 6 or 7. Scott made an error and lost....he talks about that game on one of his videos.
He had to make 50 balls in his pocket before his opponent makes 5.

To keep the game from going too long we play 3 fouls in a row you lose.
this is for cheap stakes.
high stakes make your own rules.
Nick starts out owing 39 balls. Need to do some creative coin counting!I know very little about One Pocket, but understand the concept of owing balls. Can you explain the "50-5" reference you made? What is the 50 and what is the 5?

At that point it might be easier to count fouls by coin denominations. Let's see I owe a quarter, a dime and 4 pennies.Nick starts out owing 39 balls. Need to do some creative coin counting!
